Chapter 9: Find her

3rd person POV
The Octo-alert went off, and everyone got to H.Q. "What's this about, Captain?" Shellington asked, curiously. "It's about Kiki. Nobody has seen her and there was blood on her blanket." Everyone was shocked. "Oh, no! What could've happened to her?? Could she have gotten-" Tweak got interrupted. "Kidnapped?" Kwasii finished, and everyone gasped lightly. "Well, there's only one was to find out. Tweak, are all of the Gups in good condition?" Tweak nodded. "Good. Peso, Kwasii, to the Gup A!"

Kiki's POV
I woke up on yet another cay, but this time, my family was in front of me. I tried to get up, but I was tied to a tree. "Why am I here?!" I yelled at the three of them. "Sweetie, we wanted you back, so we came and got you, silly!" My mother slightly mumbled. "No, your mother wanted a brat like you back in our family." My father corrected. "Well, I'm not coming back! You all abandoned me, and I have another family! So just let me go!" I shrieked in fear. "Ouch! Quiet down, stupid kid." My brother covered his ears, and I hissed. "Let me go! I know they're looking for me, I just know it!" "Kiki, Shut up. Nobody is looking for you, so you're stuck with us for the rest of your life." My dad smiled as if he was the king. I hissed again. My dad was close enough to me to the point where I could bite his ear, so I did. "Ow! You little brat!" My dad felt the blood on his ear due to my strong bite. I hissed once more. "If you don't let me loose, I'll bite you again, and this time bite your whole ear. I'll do it, I have the power to." That's when my brother got up and untied the ropes that pressed against my tiny self. He set me loose and I smacked him and my dad. Their thick fur brushed against my hand as I smacked them with all of my might. "Hey! Just because we let you go doesn't mean you can do what you please!" I hissed at the two male ferrets yet again. Just then, I see something coming towards the cay, and it comes into better view; The Gup A! I hop in excitement as they park the Gup and I see Barnacles, Kwasii, and Peso! "Guys!" I tried running over to them, but my brother grabbed me by the arm, gripping it tightly. "You're not going anywhere!" A bruise forms on my arm as his grip gets tighter. "Let me go! You're hurting me!" I tried to set myself loose from my brother's strong hold. "No!" He yanks me into the water, and all I heard was yelling, screaming, and someone diving in the ocean. I close my eyes, expecting to drown. That is until I feel something carry me back up to the surface..

Kwasii's POV
The captain put a paw in front of me as I was about to go over and snatch Kiki up from beside the tree to take her back to the Octopod, and then all of a sudden, she gets tossed into the water! I activated my helmet and sprung forth and into the water. "Kwasii!" The captain yelled, but I ignored him. This was my second time saving Kiki, and I dived in the water and saw her close her eyes. I quickly but carefully gripped her arm and soon got a hold of her, then I drag her back up to gain some air. She coughs and sputters for breath. "What?! Why would you save that brat?!" Her dad yelled at me. "Yeow! Because she is now one of us. Peso, bandage her arm, please." Peso held out his flippers and I set Kiki in his flippers as he brought her inside the Gup. "Well done, Kwasii. That was not ordered from me to you, but I'm proud." I smile at the captain. "Thanks, captain!" I turn to Kiki's biological family, and so did the captain. The mother looked proud of me while the father and brother, not so much. The dad got up and uncovered his ear, which had blood splattered all over it. He pointed to it and shouted. "She did this to my ear! Ask your stupid penguin friend to patch me up! He's a medic, right??"

Kiki's POV
Kwasii saved me again, and out of instinct.. I looked around to see that I was in the Gup A. I looked at my arm that my brother had gripped tightly to see that it was bandaged. All of a sudden, the Gup stopped. I looked out of the Gup and saw that we were back in the Octopod, and everyone was cheering. I grinned and hopped out. Just as I landed, I fell in the water once again. I heard someone splash and felt something grab my arm, dragging me up. I assumed it was Kwasii, but it was the captain. "You probably can't walk since the ropes were tight on your ankles. I'll walk you to your room." I nodded and almost fell on my face, but Barnacles caught me and lead me to my room. I fell face first onto my mattress, tired. It's only 9 in the morning and the 3 went on an early morning mission. I crawled onto the rest of my bed and curled up into a ball, leaving the captain confused. "What's wrong?" He asked me. "I'm sorry.." "For what?" I hesitated. "... For putting you in a mission early in the morning."

Captain Barnacles's POV
I froze. "You had this set up?" I asked, worried. She shook her head, and I heard a quiet hiccup. "But.. I should've pointed out that I heard something in the closet, and about my dream.." She mumbled the last part. I thawed and ran to her and sat on her bed, wiping a tear running down her cheek. "It's not your fault, but what was the dream about, exactly? You haven't told me that yet." I whispered. She sighed and explained everything in that dream. I was stunned. "That bad, huh?" She asked as I blinked. "Yeah, it's pretty bad. But hey, everything is gonna be okay." I wrap her in a hug as she cried on my shoulder until she fell asleep. I laid her on her bed and got up. 'At least she's getting more sleep.' I thought to myself and walked to the door, but I left it opened by a few inches, just so people can hear if anyone is in her room.

Holy- this was the longest chapter in this story. o.o Anyways, this took a lot of thought and process but I finally finished after about 14 days. I hope all of you liked this chapter since it took a lot of time to think about. Anyways, I gotta charge my phone since it's at 5% now, so.. Adiós everyone! -A/n
