The day started off like every other when Felix woke up. He showered, got dressed and combed his hair and went off to the kitchen for breakfast. Chauncey was up and making his third cup of coffee, and Micheal was sitting in the living room reading a book. 'Y/n's probably still asleep.' He thought, grabbing a croissant and plopping down on the couch. He had just started munching away when y/n shuffled into the living room. They looked like they had just woken up, and there were bags under their eyes.

"Trouble sleeping?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah." They rubbed the back of their neck. "I kept tossing and turning all night, so I just slept on the floor." They grinned. "I'm sure you can see how that affected me," They said, gesturing to themselves. "I can help with your hair after you're done getting ready," He offered. "Uh, sure." They replied, feeling heat seeping into their cheeks. They rushed to the bathroom, and Felix finished his croissant.

"You're chewing your nails again," Micheal commented, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye. Felix froze, looking at his hands and putting them down. "Sorry. Didn't realize. Bad habit." He mumbled. After a while, y/n came out of the bathroom, combing through their hair with their fingers. They sat down next to Felix with their back turned to him, and he began to brush their hair. When he was done, he began styling it. Soon, he finished and when they went into the bathroom to look at it, they came out grinning. "It looks great! Thanks Felix."

"No problem, it's what I do." He said, winking. A second later, a knock was heard. Heads turned as Chauncey went to open the door, and lo and behold-- It was Malak.

"Oh! Uh- We weren't expecting you at this time, Lord Malak. What brings you here?" Chauncey asked, sounding apologetic.

"I've come to question the mortal." He answered simply.

"Ah. Right. Come in," He said, moving out of the way. "And if I may, why not just teleport into the room? Why the formalities?"

"Oh," He waved dismissively. "I didn't want to intrude on the happy little gathering you've got going on right now." He looked meaningfully at y/n, watching the blood drain out of their face. "Well, all that aside, we'll be going now."

"Wait!-" Chauncey cried out.

But they were already gone.
