JUNGWON's POV

Here I am, infront of my laptop, holding my breath as nervousness occupy my whole system. Just this morning, I received an email from Ridgeview University. Now all I have to do is to open it and find out if I got the scholarship I applied for. I closed my eyes and clicked the email. Opening one eye, I peeked at the letter.

I sighed and contacted Sunoo. It rang three times before Sunoo picked up.

|Jungwon! Did you passed? Tell me tell me tell meeeee!!!!| He screamed from the other line.

"Well..." I paused for a few seconds.

|It's okay Jungwon, you can apply again next school year.| I can imagine him frowning. I was holding back from laughing. I didn't even said anything yet.

"I got the email this morning and it says....I PASSED!!!" I happily said while doing small jumps.

|WE'RE GOING TO SCHOOL TOGETHER AHK!!!| He shrieked which made me distance the phone from my ear.

"I know I know no need to scream my ear is hurting." I mocked while smirking.

|Fine! But we'll go together okay? And oh, let's buy school supplies tomorrow! And maybe a few casual clothes to wear on school too!| Sunoo suggested. And that is when my whole life savings will gonna be in drought.

"Yeah, yeah. I knew you'd say that you rich ass omega." I rolled my eyes even if he won't see it.

|Don't worry about spending, Wonie. It's up to me. Just show up and it's all charged.| He answered and I sighed again.

"You know I don't like it when you spend on me." I retorted and I hear him chuckle.

|You know you won't win against me so if I want to spoil my bestfriend, I will spoil my bestfriend.| There he is. Mr. Congeniality slash bestfriend-spoiler. Sunoo is too kind sometimes, that it worries me. Him being genuine is his strength but also his weakness. That's why I can't leave him even if I wanted to shut the world out.

"Fine. See you tomorrow." Defeated. He won't stop whinning if I continue to argue. He hummed and we said goodbyes before I hang up the call.

[I'm excited! What if we meet our mate there?! Oh my!!] Jungseo squealed.

[Or our secret can be revealed making us captured and die without meeting our mate.] Johnny retorted.

[Oh shut up, Johnny. I was trying to be optimistic.] Jungseo answered back.

[Optimistic my foot. You're being a hopeless romantic. Don't give our human high hopes. You know what happens when he feels too much emotions.] Johnny argued making Jungseo snarl and Johnny growled back.

[Shut up you two! You're giving me a headache!] I scolded them through my mind. It's kinda stressful having two wolves argue inside you all the time like an angel-devil whispering in your head, though I knew they're just practically protecting me from any harm.

Finally, they stopped bickering. I head to the kitchen and made dinner for me and my mother before she got back home. I opened the fridge and took the chicken that I defrost earlier. I'm too lazy to think of a recipe so I just decided to fry it and make gravy.

As I set up the table, I heard the front door open meaning my mother has arrived. She head straight to the kitchen and we ate.

"Mom, I got the scholarship!" I told her happily. She pulled me into a tight hug.

"That's great, Jungwon! But be careful okay?" She looked at me with worried eyes. I nodded and smiled.

"Don't worry, mom. Sunoo is studying there too." I said in assurance. She sigh in relief when I said I had my only friend there.

I was a lone wolf, blending with humans since I was 4 together with my mother. But one day, I bumped into an omega. He was an alpha's son but his rank is an omega but since being an omega isn't a big deal nowadays, his parents still loved him. We became bestfriends and he is the only one I can trust my secrets to. And that omega is Sunoo. Though I hid my identity at first, he didn't think twice to welcome us in their pack which we gladly did. Now we've been part of Blue Lagoon Pack for over 14 years.

My mother had to seek for a job to sustain our needs. I really wanted to go to school so I took a scholarship exam to hopefully cover 90% of school fees. And I'm really happy I got passed. This is my only ticket to college. Sunoo's parents was willing to pay for my tuition, but I declined because they already done too much for me and my mom and I don't know how to repay them for their kindness, though Sunoo always says its nothing, for me it's a big deal.

After washing the dishes, I listed the things that I'll probably be needing at school. Then I showered before going to bed.

I wonder if Jungseo was right, if my mate happens to go to that school.

THIRD PERSON's POV

"Are you sure you want to transfer back to Ridgeview University?" His friend asked while raising a brow.

"A year studying at Cambridge Academy is a pain in the ass. Even the professors are getting into my nerves. Plus our other friends are there at Ridgeview." He answered which made his friend sigh.

"Fine then, I'm going with you. I don't want to be lonely in our previous school anyway." His friend sighed and he just nodded in response.
