JUNGWON's POV

"WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?!" I screamed through the phone. I've been waiting here for a whole freaking 40 minutes already.

|I'm on my way--oh I can see the building! I'm running now!| His alibi didn't convinced me.

"Is that so? Then why am I hearing your hair dryer from your line? Are you hair-drying on the streets?" I asked in a suspicious way 'cause there's no way he can do that. If I know, he just finished taking a shower.

|Oh--y---kskshk--toot-toot-toot| Then he ended the call. I just rolled my eyes in disbelief.

I'm right here at the mall. Me and Sunoo supposed to buy school supplies today and set the meet up at 12pm but it's already 12:44 and there's no sign of Sunoo. He's always like that, he's the one initiating a meet up but he'll end up being nearly an hour late.

I know it'll take him another few minutes to get here so I decided to wander a little bit to kill time. I saw benches on the center part of the mall and took a seat. I roamed my eyes and entertain myself with what I see.

Children running around, couples acting lovey-dovey, a group of teens, couples, families, solo-flights, more couples—ugh!! why is there so many couples?! It's annoying when you know you're mateless and all alone. To be honest, I lost hope on having a mate that'll accept me for who I really am because everytime I imagine the scene, it always end up me getting rejected. 'Cause who'll want to be mated with someone like me? Jungseo and Johnny whinned at my thought, protesting to stop me from hurting myself. I just sighed.

After waiting for like forever, Sunoo finally came.

"Sorry 'bout that." He immediately said. I just shook my head and went ahead of him going to the department store.

"Hey! Wonie, wait!" Sunoo jogged as he catched up to me.

We spend an hour or two because all that Sunoo did was to choose between colors like 'should I buy the pink notebook or should I buy the blue one' but always ended up choosing both.

After I got everything that I think what's on my list, I headed to the counter to pay. Just as I was about to pull money from my wallet, I got dumbfounded when someone's hand stopped me. I looked at that someone and it was Sunoo.

"Charge it here, and these too." He said while handing his card to the cashier. I eyed at him to protest and he just pointed me, telling me to shut up. I just sighed and we decided to have a snack.

"So when will I meet this mate of yours?" I asked him while raising a brow. I sensed that he got tensed for a moment.

"S-soon. H-he's busy nowadays. Maybe some other time." He replied while letting out a nervous smile.

"Busy? Is he a celebrety or something? Why can't you even say his name? All I know is that its a 'he'. Or did you just made up that you met your mate?" I retorted but he stayed silent. Sunoo just sighed and stop walking.

"Actually, he is popular. I can't say his name because we promised that we'll announce when he turn 20 then we'll get together." Sunoo looked down and I can sense some sincerity so I just let it pass for now.

"Okay. How about we hang out tomorrow night? Let's binge watch a kdrama!" I exclaimed, trying to change the mood. Luckily, Sunoo's face brightens and nodded.

"Let's buy chips then. Let's go!!" I pulled him to the grocery store and he just let me pick whatever chips I like.

I'm currently at my room. I decided to read a little to ready myself for the first day of classes. Because I'm a scholar, I'll have to maintain my grades or else, bye bye school. I'm about to read another book when Johnny talked.

[Jungwon, can we go out for a run? It's been a while since you let me out and I'm starting to get weak.] Johnny requests. Well that made me guilty. I always locked Johnny up and only let out Jungseo.

I looked at my window and I saw it's already dark. I guess I can give Johnny a run tonight.

[Fine. But stay away from the pack lands. If Blue Lagoon warriors saw you I'm never letting you come out again.] I warned. Its better to be extra careful. I can stand living as a lone wolf but if we got kicked out of this pack then I'll become a rogue and I don't want that.

Johnny understands so he just agreed. I shifted and let Jungseo out. The moment that the border patrols recognized Jungseo, they just let us pass. Sprinting off the woods of an unclaimed territory, Jungseo ran for about 25 minutes. When we can't sense anyone near, that's when I let Johnny take over.

Jungseo is my wolf. He's a mid sized gray wolf with white patches all over him. Meanwhile, Johnny, my hellhound, doesn't looked like an actual hellhound. He looked like a normal wolf without any scary features. Minus the fact that he has the size of an alpha. Johnny has pure white fur and he only comes out the surface when me or Jungseo are in trouble.

After wandering for 45 minutes, Johnny saw a clearing. He sat in the middle and enjoyed the peaceful night under the starry sky. But why am I suddenly fidgety? Like something is about to happen. But before I warn Johnny, an intoxicating smell of cinammon and daisy drifts to my nose.

[Mate!] Johnny and Jungseo celebrated. But it just made me more nervous. Our mate is here?! In the middle of nowhere?! In Johnny's wolf form, I took control. I looked behind and saw a huge wolf with a thick pitch black fur and blue eyes. By its body build, I knew its a male. But not just ordinary male, 'cause he's...

[An alpha.] Oh no. My mate is an alpha? Moon Goddess you've gotta be kidding me. I'm surely getting rejected now.

He surprisingly moved closer to me as he rubbed the side of his head to mine. Sparks go shooting as we came in contact. Johnny let out a purr and oh my goodness that's embarassing. My mate stared at me and I can see how his eyes glisten. But I was dumbfounded from what he did next.

He shifted in front of me. It's dark but I can perfectly see how he looks so ethereal. His eyes holds a galaxy. He had pointed nose and a sharp—very sharp jawline. His lips curved up to a beautiful smile. He raised his hand and touched Johnny's face. I shut my eyes and feel the warmth of my mate.

"C-can you show me your human form?" He asked stuttering. I opened my eyes in terror when realization hit me. I'M IN MY HELLHOUND'S FORM! What am I gonna do?! If he founds out my secret, I know he'll reject me.

Without thinking straight, I ran and left my mate.
