JAY's POV
We have no classes today as all the freshmen and club officers will use the day for auditions. Sunoo luckily agreed to switch with me for a day so here I am, seated beside Heeseung hyung with Ms. Ji on his other side. I was excited for today because I'm expecting to hopefully meet the owner of that voice. There were so many auditionees this year. Many of them are familiar because I was studying here at Ridgeview for like 18 years of my life before I transferred last year at Cambridge Academy but came back again here because of Cambridge's shitty cycle. Time has passed but I haven't found him yet. Will he audition here? My hope was beginning to fade when I checked at the list and saw that over 200 students already finished performing. We asked the current auditionee if how many more students were waiting outside and she said there are only about 4 left. When the next student climbed on stage, I suddenly had a phone call. I excused myself and answered it. It was my girl.
|Babe! Help me! I'm injured!| She said, making me stand up. I informed Heeseung hyung and Ms. Ji that I have emergency so they let me go ahead.
''Where exactly are you?'' I asked Yujin as I hear her sobs from the other line.
|At the gymnasium. I joined the try-out for volleyball but I sprained my ankle.|
''I'm on my way.'' I ended the call and ran to the backstage because there's an exit there that has a shorter way to the gym. I finally arrived and saw Yujin laying on the gym floor. I carried her bridal style all the way to the infirmary. The nurse quickly assisted her and treated her foot.
''You should've been careful. Why did you even waited for me when you could've let them bring you here?'' I sat on a chair across her and watched as the nurse do her job.
''I don't like being touched by other people.'' She pouted and winced as the nurse touched her poor foot.
''Tshh. You'll still be touched nonetheless. If not, how will they cure that?'' I pointed to her foot and she hung her head low.
''I love you.'' She suddenly said out of nowhere. But those words strangely didn't had any effect on me like it did before. Why?
JUNGWON's POV
I'm currently waiting on a line that will be auditioning for the chorale. The auditions for the dance troupe is on the other hall. Luckily, there was no numbering so I kept letting them go in first because I was waiting for Sunoo. He promised he'll accompany me. I won't go in without him. I waited and waited until the line was shorten and only three of us were left in the hallways. I was about to tear up because I'm the only one left but as I twisted the knob, Sunoo came running to me, making me sigh in relief.
''I thought you won't come!'' I cried on him as patted my back.
''Awe, I promised, right? Now let's go in and show them what you got.'' He wipes my tears as I just nodded in response. I took a deep breath as I open the door of the auditorium. Shocks, there are too many people here. On the front row, I saw Heeseung hyung and Ms. Ji on his left side and an empty seat on his right side.
''Huh? That's odd. Jay hyung was supposed to be here.'' Sunoo mumbled and he approached Heeseung hyung. After they talked, Sunoo sat on the empty seat beside Heeseung hyung and nodded at me. I nodded back and climb to the stage. They set up a chair and a mic for me as I clutched to my guitar. Here goes nothing.
~You by the light is the greatest find
In a world full of wrong you're the thing that's right
Finally made it through the lonely to the other side
You set it again, my heart's in motion
