"Wow!" You couldn't help but be in awe when your blindfold was removed. "This place is incredible!"

Buildings were towering over you in neat, clean rows. Lanterns hung in the street, and people, most of whom wore masks, walked up and down the roads. Several of them were running to and from other buildings, a few of them carrying unfinished and finished swords.

Your heart swelled when you saw the hard work these people were putting into their craftsmanship. They really were the backbone of the Corps!

"We'll have to talk to my craftsman- the chief. The sword you've trained with is specially made to suit me and my breathing style, so it's finicky and difficult to control. Maybe he can make a new one for you!" Mitsuri dragged you along the sidewalk through people.

You waved thank you to the kakushi who dropped you off at the entrance. They had already turned around to wait for any new visitors.

"Is anyone else here?" You questioned.

"Not that I know of! Oh- hey, wait a minute! Tokito is right there!" She ran over to the younger Hashira and was talking wildly.

"I cant believe you're here too, Tokito! It's wonderful to see you!" She cheered.

"Muichiro!" You grinned and pulled him into a hug. "I've been getting your letters recently! Keep it up! I love hearing from you!"

Muichiro smiled and hugged you back. "Yes. I like writing to you as well. I found my cook book. It was in my kitchen drawer."

"That's good to hear! Me and Mitsuri have to go, since I'm here for a new sword, but I'll talk to you later, okay?"

You ruffled his hair, earning a small, yet warm, smile from him. "Okay. Goodbye, Y/n." He held your hand in one of his before nodding and letting go.

      "Mitsuri? You ready?" You asked.

"Of course! Bye, bye for now, Tokito! I suspect we'll see you later!"

"Huh?"

"Sorry." You whispered to him as you pulled Mitsuri away from him. He wasn't the kind of person to want to talk to someone of her extroverted caliber.

He looked dazed and confused at her before whisking around, his sleeves and baggy clothing flaring out behind him. Mitsuri was rambling on about the village and how wonderful it was as she continued to pull you along after her.

"Oh! And there's this wonderful hot spring with healing properties! It's wonderful! We should go sit there tonight! Oh, you'll love it so much!" She stifled her excited laughter. "Oh, oh! We're here! We're here!"

This building in particular looked important. She knocked on the door, hardly able to stay still. "Hm?" And aged man answered the door. "Ah, Master Kanroji, it's wonderful to see you. Please, do come in." He shuffled out of the way and invited her in.

You followed after her anxiously. The room was warm and inviting, with a nice comfortable couch in the centre of it, but she still stood, as did you.

"I presume you're here for a sword, yes? I haven't received any orders, however, so what might bring you my way?" He rasped, voice gravelly with age.

"I wanted to introduce you to my tsuguko! This is L/n Y/n, and she's in need of a sword like mine! She had been using my old one for some time now- now that I think about it. I should've done this a lot sooner since the other one was chipped, but oh well- anyway she needs a new one! Could that be arranged?"
