"There's no need to respect an individual's belief to respect them as a human."

Tap. Tap, Tap.

The sound of a cane resounded, its echoes getting closer and closer on my direction.

I still arrived much faster than her despite using the stairs. She sure likes to take her time.

My right arm's still shaking violently even when minutes has already passed since the confrontation with the two.

As the small shadow emerged from the corner, I formed a frown with a bitter smile.

"This place isn't best suited for a meeting like this." For something as important as this.

She sure is not one to care about attention, or rather, she likes to drown in it.

"Unnecessary worries. Everyone's either in their room or in the mall."

There were still flaws not pointed out,  if both parties wanted to do a meeting discreetly, then this is the worst place to meet up.

On the other side of the coin, if they both don't care about being seen, then this was one of the best places to be in. While both can be seen, those who try to eavesdrop or look can be seen back.

"I've gotten the gist of what you did, or I'd like to think I have."

Ryūen's sloppy movements. Threatening him using Hiyori.
Nagumo's plan.
My fight.

This might not be all of it, but this was already over the top for only one person to take care of. And she's responsible for all of it.

"It was quite an interesting spectacle indeed. She's also quite surprised."

"Is that a threat?" I had the sudden, almost overwhelming urge to grab, then break the phone on her hand.

'Here.' A video recording played, showing everything that happened from start to when Albert rushed to me.

"Ryūen-kun sure is all bark and no bite, here I thought he could notice a rat getting blackmail material." Is that really something you ought to say?

"Can you really say that, for someone who has something to do with why he's been sloppy all day long?"

It was a small detail in tunnel vision,
for those that didn't notice, including Ryūen that was drugged, the only answer was that he was outclassed by his opponent.

This was the only answer I could think up of. It's either that or mental fatigue caused by a certain someone.

Maybe both?

"Leaving that, I'm surprised you didn't run much earlier. I should guess you're also as much of a fighting maniac as Ryūen-kun?"

She crossed her legs, retracting the cane she has on hand. It was a rather interesting view.

"A pun? You and I both know
I couldn't. All because of the mole that recorded the events." The only truth of the matter was that, there would've been no confrontation had I ran much earlier.
