Apologies functions as healing chants only if it comes at right time.

8th March, 1927

Morning 9:17 am

Okay, after a week, Anirudh finally decided to resume his work because a legal notice has been sent to him yesterday. He had missed couple of hiring against the public prosecutor too on his ongoing cases in this one week.

The laceration on his palm steel bleeds if comes in contact of any solid object. Except his kaka no one cared about his wound, his daughter was so small to understand the pain laced in his voice, he lied her again and again whenever she asked him "Baba, are you alright?".

The legal notice against him, it was just a waste paper in eyes of all other Roy choudharies. He knew, he could not expect sympathy on this matter from his root family members, being The Roy Choudharys considering such legal notices critical was betrayal to their well maintained prosperity since ages but, what was hurting him more that his wife, his love, who claims to understand him in and out was unable to understand his inner turmoil this time and was lacking in healing his stress with much needed compassion he was longing from her that time.

He had left with only one option, He used to spent his time with his 5 year old daughter and family in day time and slept like a toddler in his wife's embrace in night not before smoking a pair of cigarette and hurting his foot palm every night due to carelessly walking on lit cigarette's butt on the floor in the end.

That girl's innocent face was still flashing in his memory, like his subconsciousness was adamant not to erase her memories and some soothing, loving feel he remembered he felt that night.

At breakfast table Samidha his daughter once again asked 'Baba, I still feel you are not well?'. Anirudh was about to lie again but was interrupted in between by his eldest niece, 'Samidha didi, bade kaka's hand is inj...' her words died in her mouth only when Anirudh brought his finger on his lips and nodded horizontally at Soumya, Som's eldest daughter aged 4.

They had breakfast and he left for his work place half-heartedly.
He was not healed yet.

A subtle sense of relief his mind found when his colleagues brought him the news that his 3 year old petition to bring an another law for banning another malpractice of polygamy in Indian Society has been come in attention of British law-council once again.

He was glad that his old efforts are being valued and will bring the positive changes in the society shortly.

If and only if that day he had not spent that night in the brothel and hadn't woke up in that lil prostitute's warm embrace, nothing was as extreme to make any difference between him and his gorgeous wife Saudamini, without any 2nd thought he would have celebrated this moment of happiness all night long with his loving wife.

But! now, after what was bound to happen in his life had happened and re-evaluating the sense of malice in Saudamini's touch, he wished to share this happiness with that lil girl of Sheeshmahal first, he wanted to ask an apology from her too.

Because she didn't like Roshogullas, he plucked 2 white lilies from his office garden and tied them together in utter delicacy.

Same day around 9:17 PM

He reached Shishmahal to meet her again. he entered in that dedicated room with subtle smile, his heart pounded emanating serene for his insides after ages like long 8 days as soon as he found her sitting on her place in front of mirror, caressing a piece of newspaper lovingly
