We all have our sides of truth, only known to either ourselves or to the Almighty.

When a mild ray of morning sun between her long hair's purling tufts reached to his face, he opened his eyes leisurely, his head was placed in her lap, her fingers very tenderly dabbing a cotton ball over his swelled wounded lips to clean the dried blood out there. Her eyes were filled with tears.

"What happened to you Client babu?", She asked him, when she found him awake, trying to hold her tears back.

"Nothing...", His lips twitched to smile. "Did I disturb your sleep?"

She nodded to nullify his regard for her sleep that moment.

"Then, like you have opened this window after a long time today to admire the sunshine, overcome your fear too and come by my side to relive this beautiful world.", His mussels were aching, he was stabbed by his loved ones many times yet at that particular moment his voice and eyes gleaming in zeal like he was the same enthusiastic old Anirudh, on other hand the 'outside world' word itself was enough to gulp the lumps of fear for Bondita . The cotton ball slid down on his kurta as her fingertips along with her frightened self quivered.

"Noo! client babu, I am pleading you don't be so harsh on me again.", Her fear flared face was piercing him more than his cracked jaw and knuckles but he didn't give up, he was determined to wash her fear out and he knew today was the only day he could do that, open wide window of her room was a sign of her softened heart towards the outside world, her biggest fear.

"Binitha! with you only I would be able to relive my life's heavenly, full of endearment journey once again, I can refill the sweetness of those cotton candy memories of that small girl in my life which I yearned to cheer with my own daughter.....But!", He spilled out his old dream in nostalgia, in front of someone for the first time.

He had sacrificed so many things in his life but no one is aware of that because his smiling face was a durable shield between the outside world and his own universe, and it's key he handed to his beloved, faithful and pragmatic love Saudamini.

Her lil head was taking time to process his sentences which were set of clever words to hide his unvoiced sufferings he had lived all alone.

He was waiting for her response holding his hopes high. His head still placed in her lap. Anonymous sentiments pooling in their benign locked eyes, the moment of decision was so crucial, their heart's pumping gradually going up and down each passing second. When the moment of silence crossed one hundred and twenty nine seconds, his heart spasmed violently equally opposite to it's intense happy spasm, hearing Saudamini's scream coming from labor ward when they welcomed their first child, their daughter. Their one and only living child.

Would this violent spasm also take a happy turn? Will his aching ears hear her delightful yes like her daughter's very first cooing brought pure delight to him that day?

The silence was unbearable now, he was about to break it but her denial in clear NO shattered his all the hopes.

It was his greatest defeat not professionally, he lost him-self there. No tears, no expression was enough to explain his inexplicable dolour.

Arghhh!, he groaned inaudibly moving his head up from her lap and smiled in rejection too like any saint does.

"You can hate me for being adamant on my request, I apologize because just now I have realized how harsh it would have been for you to even think upon on this sensitive matter .", His mature brain understands very well that anyone takes so much time in responding only when they are struggling with their thoughts. "Binitha! you know, with you I sometime encounter with my old fitoori self.", His light chuckle was full of satire. "But the time has gone so the old Anirudh is, I heartily wanted to take you out from this place, alas! but my respect for women's own choice for their life remains firm in your case too.", He cupped her face in his wounded palms, lacerated knuckles were not letting him grip on her cheeks properly. It was aching so much. "Let me conclude you on last time that, you are not safe here please, please think of yourself, your whole life, please once.", He begged literally like he was loosing something precious. Was he? absolutely no, then why was he feeling so much pain for a prostitute. He must not, he has family and other affairs to look after.

Just leave Anirudh, just leave. You tried your level best to save a random proustite.

"Client babu! I am in no position to directly go and ask Tarabai to stop you from visiting me, but you are a wise man, you can handle the matters sagaciously. I beg for your mercy, p.please don't come here again, please don't.", She pleaded in uncountable sobs, feeling so debilitated in facing his hollow fragile aura disrespecting his true strong identity. She find it easy to accept her rotting in hell future than interacting with his pale identity even for very less uncertain amount of time.

If he was just four five year younger to his current age, he would have sobbed harder similar to any cry baby on her unexpected pleading but, that time he was a father of his born died infant too who didn't get a chance and shoulder to unleash his mourning tears, he had cradled his just born, not breathing son before burying in the soil so, his deeply wounded heart accepted her appeal too. Without uttering a single word and letting his tears not cross the rims of his eyes he patted her head lovingly and asking for another apology with a humble request to take care of herself, he walked out of her room and that is when he felt the aches of his physical injuries.

As soon as he left, closing the door behind, she cried her heart out, pool of aching tears for sending him away from her self were chocking her breath. She was devastated just like him and thought of having no possibility to meeting him again was killing her, She lost her golden chance to escape from that perdition which they both were awarded when they were alive.

Was she really crying for him only? or a corner of her heart was not ready to forgive him which surely holds the exasperation for his doings in the past with her, his ruthless attitude for not taking care of her tiny self, leaving her alone when she needed him, after giving so much hopes for her bright future he didn't even showed up and what hurts her the most was him, ARC breaking his promises he gave her and her Ma for her safety. This were the prominent reasons she couldn't believe on him again.

"Tarabai us ladki ki masoomiyat ko kuch din aur mahfooz rakhne ki vinti karta hu aapse.", Anirudh requested Tarabai in most humble ways.

"Q?, Apne dino me hai kya woh......" She laughed sarcastically, "Gharwali nahi hai woh tumhari, jo itna khyal rakho uska."

"Patni nahi hai par ek aurat toh hai, uski bhavnavo ko samjhna nahi chaiye kya hame.", His voice was high enough.

"Are jao jao! kai fitoori namoone dekhe hai aise.... jo baad me usi aurat se apna man bahal jane k baad thookte bhi nahi hai us par, usi ki aankho k samne koi dursi ladki k kamre me raat guzarte hai.", She was spitting the bitter truth of the brothel and lives of prostitutes there.

"Disgusting...", It was certainly disgusting to even hear that and the living people were living that helpless life there since many ages. Those were the women, an incredible creature of god.

"Phir bhi agar tum chahte ho toh kuch rupye aur chhidak do uss ladki ki bekar kismat par daya k naam par, Mai puri koshish karungi.", She demanded dusting her hands in the air.

"Yeh lijiye..", He opened his pocket promptly and threw all the money it contained on her mouth and rushed out holding onto his scattered self.

When he folded his wallet back, he couldn't notice the family photos there are missing and were tossed on the floor.......
