Location: Bhowmik Residence, Saudamini's Bedroom

After Dinner Anirudh went to collect the gift quickly from Saudamini for Bondita.

"Mini, is the gift ready for Bondita?", Anirudh asked, knocking on her door.

Anirudh was impatient to go to Bondita so he didn't wait for more than a min and elbowed the door when no response came from other side.

Saudamini was unconscious on the floor. Her forehead had big red spot which is most likely to be appear on skin if bumped with some solid object, "Mineee!", He shrieked, his nervous system releasing a flood of stress hormone.

"Didaa, where are you?", He yelled, scooping her frame in his arms.

As per Saudamini and Dida's evil plan, Dida came running on his call. His upper body was almost hovering over hers in the process to place her gently on the bed. A jolt of electricity ran through the Saudamini's spine on their proximity.

"What happened Anirudh Beta?" asked Dida, then gasped in fake shock. crying. "Anirudh Beta, I told her not to do fasting, but she didn't listen to me."

"What? why was she fasting?", Anirudh asked perplexed. Sprinkling water droplets on her face.

"She said Dida! Anirudh is doing so much to cure my blindness? A married man...", Dida screeched on married man. "A married man is taking care of his female friend when his wife is not in his home, and I don't want anyone to point a finger on him that is why she wanted blessings of Ma Dugga for you."

Dida was shedding crocodile's tears.

"Mini, Mini what all this you are doing. I don't deserve it.", A lone tear dropped from his left eye and faded into cloth of his pants. "Dida! You look after her I will call Dr. Basu."

He stood up and was walking towards telephone. Saudamini winked at Dida.

"Anirudh!", Soudamini called out in feeble voice.

"Anirudh beta she is calling you.", Dida voiced high.

Anirudh ran to her, wiping his tears, a small smile on his lips. "Mini, you scared me. Please don't do this again.", uttered Anirudh, rubbing her hands.

She blinked at him smilingly, "Accha sorry baba! I don't want you too to be late. There I have placed a gift for Bondita."

"No, it's okay! I will ask someone else to take gifts for Bondita and will go to bring her here as soon as we come back.", Anirudh exclaimed feeling trapped. "I am sorry for today Bondita! But I am happy that you will get Sumati Ma's love for some more time. May Ma Dugga bless you!"

Anirudh consoled himself and smiled at Saudamini patting her head lovingly.

Saudamini signaled that old widow to leave the room.

"Anirudh Beta you take care of Mini and feed her, I will be back after finishing her packing then you can leave."

"Dida it's okay you take rest; I will take care of her."

"But Anirudh...what will people say?"

"Your health is crucial than what people say.....So, keep mum and let me apply the ointment on that mottled skin of yours."
