"God, why does a mortal man have children? It is senseless to love anything this much."

- Barbara Kingsolver

Bondita's Alpine Hut

"His brain's condition isn't improving. Other body parts are functioning normally, but his brain isn't responding. He didn't get any severe injury physically, but it seems his brain is not able to recover from any trauma.", Mr. Doctor who was treating Anirudh since last one month understood his condition slowly that Anirudh's brain has embraced unconsciousness for indefinite time because of any severe trauma. "Salim, as far as I can understand Anirudh's condition, I feel, in his case along with duaa (Prayers) and dawa (Medicines) until and unless his brain diverts its attention on any happy, encouraging news of cheerful frequency, it will not try to gain its consciousness back therefore I am suggesting, if you know any such person who can bring him merry genuinely, please bring him or her here. I am sure he will respond to their aura, presence, touch, vocals or wisdom. I hope, this method helps him to recover soon. That's all I can do it for him and for you guys now. I am doctor yet still believe in miracles, I hope you all do it too. Let's hope and wait for one such miracle to happen soon."

Salim mused over but except Saudamini he couldn't recall anyone from his family. He knows Anirudh loves his daughter the most, but he cannot take risk by informing his similar to dead condition to that little angelic soul.

"Noo, I can't hurt that little soul!", He shook his head vigorously.

Fatima prayed for Anirudh's recovery once again inaudibly, "Ya Allah! Show some mercy on his little angle and our Hoor. Bless them happiness in form of her beloved husband's and Baba's consciousness."

Believing in Allah's miracle Salim too looked hopeful. He escorted doctor to his Taanga (Horse carriage) waiting outside that hut.

Bondita was cursing him for leaving her in such helpless condition once again, in contrast Binitha, his lover who met him as his reserved prostitute was prying from bottom her chaste heart for his recuperation as soon as possible.

She was growing feeble but not her love. She was missing his warmth, his comfortable touch, his kisses of love. In a corner of her tiny heart, she had started to weave a brittle dream to live her whole life with him happily together forever.

When he did not respond today as well her heart started to sink terribly. Her baby footsteps automatically advanced towards a nearby dargah. It was a bright silverly shining day. Promising cold winds pinching her cheeks on the way but she felt hurt this time by that playful gesture. Kneeling in front of Dargah her heart was continuously praying for his health to return. Her heart pounded in serene in that sacred place. Spending good amount of time in Allah's place she left for her hut. While walking back she felt her head spinning may be because of very little intake of edibles it was happening. Her velvety Hizab protected her from sheer silverly sunrays, and she could manage to walk back home. Windchimes hanged on their door welcomed her with their soothing white noise but as soon as she entered inside, fluctuation in intensity of light made her steps stumble. Thankfully Masroor (Salim's begam) promptly held her before she collapses on the floor.

Salim helped her to sit on beige furry furniture comfortably. Toshi made her drink water from a glass of water patting her back and before Fatima comes near her, she felt nauseatic sensation. Masroor took her to washroom and patted her back until she got her ease back.
