Life is all about happiness, memories, and love.

2nd May 1927

Morning 04:23 AM

Location: Sreenagar Railway station

Trains chugging sound, train master's whistle blow can be heard occasionally on the station. It was dark and chilly there. Few lanterns and bonfires here and there were only source of light. Birds of north India were announcing chirpily the arrival of sun to be happen soon. Its amber mellow hue will erase the temporary darkness scattered on the earth. Fewer indistinct chatter and footsteps nearby not bothering Anidita there making the arctic place elegantly peaceful for them.

A small box made of Tin in which their belongings were there had turned into ice bar by temperature. Anirudh had swaddled him and Bondita in a thin shawl, their teeth chattering and body shaking in loose embrace, her head leaning against his left shoulder. They were waiting for the person who will be coming there to receive them. The bonfires of trash walnut tree in iron bowls here and there were only the small sources of warmth for non-north Indian people.

Except the Tin box an old age man with his wife were accompanying them, infrequently throwing glance at them too. He was drinking wine early morning packing and unpacking wineskin in every two minutes may be in order to make winter's effect less effective on his wrinkled skin and thin blood.

When Anirudh's eyes met him, he forced a generous smile at him, and the old man gathered the wits to cut the chilly silence between them.

"You have chosen heaven on the earth for your honeymoon." The man remarked, misunderstanding them a newly married couple. "Each corner of this place is filled with felicity."

The man admiring his wife with so much of affection was proving how love filled their life was still.

Anirudh startled a little on his place and his mind was taking time to fetch a suitable response for old man's declaration.

"N..." Anirudh tried to negate him but got interrupted in middle.

"I came here with my wife on her demand long time back. I love her very much like you do to your sweetheart and since then I am recommending each lovebirds to relish the depth of love here at least once." The man chanted. It looked like he was talking in trance relishing beautiful memories from the past. "No one forgets the moments spent here in their lifetime."

Anirudh just groaned inaudibly, wishing that man's blabbering to go on mute at least. The old Anirudh in him would have made that man's ear bleed by now but it seems Dugga Ma wrote him harmless destiny. He just wished their receiver to arrive at the earliest because his heart could feel the warmth envisioning him and Bondita at old aged couple's place. Years after from now him and his Binitha, revisiting the heaven on the earth, cherishing their love like the couple sitting in front.

Fathoming restlessness in Anirudh's awkwardly smiling face that man's wife shushed at her man, gesturing him to get up now as the sunrays were now slowly unveiling the beauty of paradise to naked eyes of all the entities who claim themselves alive.

"May God bless you both with abundances of happiness." The woman blessed them extracting the kohl from her eyes on her ring finger and then putting it below Bondita's left ear. "Your inamorata is so graceful. May you always protect her like this."

"I will... always." He breathed at the old lady and tapping their hands on Anirudh and Bondita's head very lovingly the loving couple left.
