The morning comes in an instant and I find myself getting ready faster than usual.

My only motive behind this is, this way I wouldn't have to deal with Akshay and his mocking. Quickly slipping into a cardigan I slowly unlock my room and sigh in relief when I don't see him in the living room. Quietly walking to the kitchen, I make myself a coffee and chug it down quickly.

After burning my tongue, I head out of the kitchen and squirm when I notice the siblings talking seriously. Sincerely hoping it's not about me, I hide my face behind my hair and try to walk faster.

"Sai?" I stop walking and hold my breath when I hear pars voice.

"Why are you going so early? You are three hours early" she reminds me and I click my tongue.

"Ah, important clients,  and meetings" I chuckle nervously and turn around.

Please don't mock me. Please don't.

Akshay briefly meets my eyes before dropping his gaze to his phone. I don't know if it's just my caffeine that is making me imagine things or I caught a glimpse of Akshay's mouth turning upwards.

"I see, have a good day" She gives me her charming smile and I nod my head in response.

So he didn't tell her about last night?

Yet.

Okay.

"Wait wait wait, you sneaked into your kitchen and ate the food he made secretly?" Satya asks and I groan loudly.

"Yes. And he saw me"

Satya snorts and I watch him raise his hands in defense.

"Ithellam unakku thevaya gopi?" Satya laughs, clutching his stomach and I hide my face in my hands.

"Shut up. What else was I supposed to do? I was angry at him okay?"

"Kovama iruntha ethukku sapta?" Another snort leaves his lips and he tries to press lips thin.

"Poda, I thought you would make me feel less embarrassed. You're not at all helping" I groan into my hands and fake cry. Satya drags his chair closer to mine and pats my arm.

"Sari parava illa vidu. Intha maathri thirumba pannama paathuko" I raise my head and lean against Satya's arm.

A chuckle escapes his lips making me glare at him.

"Stop la-"

"Saesha?" The familiar voice calls me out and my eyes clamp shut.

"yes?"I ask, not looking at harish's face.

"Can I talk to you alone? Please" he asks, desperately. My heart sinks at the tone and I raise my head to look at him.

"I'm kinda busy here"  I raise a paper and harish narrows his eyes at me.

"That's an empty paper" He chuckles and I bring down the paper and realize he is right.

"Files. Where are the files?" I stomp on Satya's feet and he silently grunts

"here" Satya hands me piles of files and I dramatically sigh.

"See" I point to my folders and harish shakes his head.

"How about tomorrow?"

"sure okay" I give up easily and internally cry when I think about tomorrow.

"***** cafe. At 6 pm" He informs and I nod my head absently.

"What? Why not here?" it's too late to argue when the person you're supposed to argue with leaves.

I huff in annoyance and look at Satya.

"Can your day get anymore better?" he holds back a laugh and I nudge him in the Shoulder.

----------

"Pick up the phone, Satya" I groan when the call goes to voicemail.

Groaning again, I step outside of my office building and immediately get drenched in the rain. Why didn't I listen to the news and carry an umbrella with me?

The heavy water droplets hits my dress and I quickly pull the cardigan over my head in an attempt to hide from the rain.

The attempt goes unsuccessful when my thin and soft cardigan gets drenched with me too.

Stretching my left foot, I attempt to take a long stride and almost end up slipping on the ground. Straightening myself, I look around to see if anyone has noticed me and I release out a sigh of relief when all I could see were people struggling to cross the road.

The sound of a horn breaks my train of thoughts as I look at the car, the driver seat window rolling down, and meet Akshay's eyes.

Did he see me nearly dying in the road like a freak?

"Get in the car" he demands and I had the intense urge to roll my eyes at him.

"I'm comfortable out here" I lie and hug myself.

"Saesha, please get in the car" He repeats again and I struggle to cross my arms against my chest due to the heavy rain.

"I'll get home by myself," I say adamantly

"Saesha, if you don't get in the car, I'm afraid I'll have to bring you myself"

"Don't bother, I can walk" cars behind start to honk and I cover my ears.

"Get in saesha"

"No" and the next thing I know a car starts to drive faster through a puddle and I was sprayed with good quality street mud for five whole seconds before I could form a few choice expletives as the driver drove in air conditioner comfort.

"Saesha-"

I open the passenger seat and sit at the edge of the seat. The dirty water droplets running down my body and I cringe internally.

He sighs and starts to drive slowly and steal glances at me.

"Do you know how to sit in a car?" he asks out of nowhere and I look at him, confused.

"Sit properly. Don't worry about ruining the seat" He gestures to my sitting at the edge position and I look down at myself.

"Na safe ah than ukk-"

The car jerks and my hands fly to the dashboard and my face sticking to the front of the car's glass.

"Are you okay?" he asks and I unstick myself from the glass, my cheeks heating up in embarrassment.

I nod and sit properly on my seat and slowly lean against it.

What day is it today?

Saesha's embarrassment day.
