"Here" Akshay slowly hands her his hoodie and walks back to the backside of the car. She quickly slips into his cloth and finds herself dangerously drowning in his usual; fresh, clean scent of aromatic woodsy notes. She could feel the warmth spreading throughout her body, as the familiar smell hits her.
After a few minutes, Akshay returns to his car and revives the engine. Saesha slowly leans against her seat and pulls her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.
"Can I take you somewhere?" he asks, gripping his steering wheel as he patiently waits for her answer. She turns her head towards him and nods against her legs.
Later, they find themselves appreciating the comfortable silence hanging around them. Lowering her legs, she slowly leans towards the car's door and watches the trees sprinting. Fields, trees, hedges streamed by. They shook through the empty, blind-looking little town.
"Do you want to open the window?" He asks, gently, glancing at her.
"Can I?"
He responds by slowly lowering the window and letting the sun-kissed wind inside the car. She takes a deep breath and zones out while staring out of her window.
"I'm sorry for what happened back there. I shouldn't have-"
"It was not your fault. It was no one's fault actually" Saesha replies, her eyes closed, feeling the warm air on her skin.
"Don't be so naive Saesha. The world is a cruel place" He reasons, his knuckles turning white at gripping the steering wheel tightly. She doesn't reply and simply stares at the outside world, not wanting to think about what happened an hour ago.
"Who hurt you saesha?" The thought of anyone hurting Saesha sets him on edge, an unsettling emotion sits in his tummy. Her silence makes it even worse for him, as he finds himself so worked up. Meanwhile, Saesha's eyes were moist, no matter how hard she tries to keep her emotions at bay. The intense urge to tell her dirty little secrets intensifies, but the threats were thrown at her across her brain. Her mind screams at her for even thinking about it.
------------
The car comes to a halt, waking up Saesha in the process. She hasn't realized she has drifted off to sleep until now.
"We are here" he announces and gazes at Saesha, who looks adorable in his hoodie. Biting the inside of his cheek from smiling, he stretches against the seat and Saesha follows suit.
"Where are we?" she asks once she looks outside her window and gasps at the sight. Unlocking her door, she slowly steps out of the car and looks around mesmerized. Tall trees bending their branches with passing wind enrich the atmosphere, with fun and pleasure. The sky seems to be at an arm's length as she looks around the hillside area.
"Oh my God, this is so beautiful" she turns towards Akshay, to see him admiring nature.
"You have a house here?" a gasp tumbles out of her lips as she looks at the house they are standing in front of.
