"I'm sorry for-"

"Passing out? Saesha, I've told you multiple times but I'll repeat myself. Don't ever be sorry for things you can't control" He heaves out a sigh of frustration. Saesha nods slowly, and her mind flashes a quick memory of what made her faint.

"My phone" She starts, and all the possible worst thoughts crash into her brain.

"It's safe. It's with Ravee. He told me the phone died, and that phone has multiple scratches. So he will be going to the-"

"For repair? No, don't do that. I mean, the phone is old... It's about time I buy a new one. Can you please ask him to leave the mobile uncharged?" Saesha heaves out a sigh of relief. Meanwhile Akshay looks at her confused, and watches her with a strange expression.

"Okay"

Later that evening, Akshay informs saesha about him going out to buy dinner for them.

"Can I come with you?" she asks, looking around the house frantically, all of the horror movies she has watched in her entire life flashes before her eyes.

"It's raining. And you're sick"

"But-"

"I'll be back soon" He promises and she nods slowly. She slowly gets out of her bed and follows Akshay to the door. Closing the door behind her, she makes the best mistake of wandering around the house and looking out the window. It was as if the lightning recharged her soul while the rain cleansed, while the thunder resonated so deep in her bones. She quickly runs to the room and hides under the blanket.

The back of her head calls out to her to check under the bed for any monsters and she shakes her head, horizontally. She makes sure her feet are hidden inside the blanket.

Her mind screams all of the horror movies she has watched in her entire life. The sound of thunder breaks her trance of horror thoughts, only making it even more horror for her. Covering her eyes with her hands, she anxiously steps out of the bed, while covering herself with the blanket. She walks around the house, her restless mind never letting her stay in bed.

After a few minutes of tiptoeing to the kitchen and the hallways, her heart races at the sudden knock at the door. She looks at the almost transparent door and freaks out, even more, when she sees a hooded figure knocking loudly.

The knocks soon turn into multiple efforts of turning the door knobs vigorously. Clutching her wildly beating heart in one hand, she searches for something to attack the intruder with. When her eyes land on a pepper spray hanging on the wall, she rolls her eyes at Akshay.

'who hangs pepper spray for wall decoration?' she shakes her head in disbelief. The loud bang interrupts her trance of thoughts as she slowly walks towards the door, her heart back to racing on its own.
