Soon, everyone in the car steps out, surprising the couple in the process. Akshay and Saesha looks at everyone dressed in black, their eyes covered with smudged mascara.
"Hey" Parvati steps forward, earning an unreadable expression from Akshay.
Akshay ignores her, taking Saesha's hand in his, before pulling her to the house.
"Dei Anna, listen to me da-"
Saesha looks at Akshay, trying to get her hand out of his hold.
"Akshay, you're overreacting" Saesha pulls away her hand from his, and stands her ground, looking into his eyes.
"Akshay-" Ravee starts and was soon interrupted by Akshay signaling with his hand to stop.
"Saesha, we are really sorry for what we did. I know an apology would be no good but please forgive us. We really didn't think straight-"
"No shit" Akshay mumbles
"It's okay-" Saesha starts only to be cut off by Akshay again.
"It's not okay. You drowned, Saesha. You could've d... A minute late and I'm not sure what would've happened to you. It's not okay" Akshay runs his hand through his hair, frustrated.
Saesha simply looks at him, not giving into his theories. He sighs before turning towards them and raising his eyebrows at their atrocious outfits.
"I'm really really sorry for we have done, Saesha. It's just.. I thought you'd still be into swimming considering the hundreds of certificates you've won in the tournaments .. I know we should have stopped when you asked us to, but... Argh... I'm sorry" Parvati hangs her head low, her eyes moist.
"It's fine. You didn't know I have stopped swimming.... it's okay" Saesha nervously chuckles under her breath, trying to lighten the mood.
"I'm sorry Saesha, I would have never done this if I knew you wouldn't swim" Praba admits guilty
"No no, don't be sorry Anna. I'm fine and healthy now" Saesha gives them a small smile.
"Are we good now?" Ravee asks, looking at both Akshay and Saesha.
"Yes.. Right, Akshay?" she looks up at him to see him playing with his car keys.
Suddenly aware of everyone's eyes on him, he looks at her and mumbles "What are y'all looking at me for?"
"He is good" she replies
"What the hell are y'all wearing?" Akshay asks.
"Before that, Amma needs to see you both. Let's go inside" Parvati speaks.
