Saesha throws her piles of clothes on her golden coloured suitcase. She walks over to her suitcase and tries to get her clothes inside it without much doing. An idea pops in her mind and she sits on the suitcase, zipping it slowly. A few clothes sticks out of the bag and she huffs before stuffing them inside and zipping the suitcase. After zipping, she gets off it, and looks around the mess she has brought in the name of packing
"I never knew this would be this tireful" She wipes the nonexistent beads of sweat on her forehead and exhales out dramatically. Puli tugs at her pant and she lowers down to the ground and runs her hand through puli's belly. He lays down on his back and purrs, making her smile.
"I'm gonna miss you buddy" She sticks out her bottom lip and puli rests his head her thigh. She sighs and sits down on the ground and pats his head.
"Be a good cat for satya, okay?"
"Meow"
"He will take good care of you. If he doesn't, I'll make sure to add him in my to-murder list" She grins playfully
"Meow"
"Good. Now let me clean the room. Go ahead and lie down on your bed" She says and he slides off her lap, before walking to her bed. Saesha gasps loudly when her cat jumps to her bed rather than sleeping on his personalized bed she has made for Puli.
------------
After cleaning her room, she exits and brings her knuckles to her best friend's door. Before she could knock, the door swings open and reveals Akshay standing wearing nothing but a drawstring pant. She quickly covers her eyes and turns around, feeling hot.
"Good lord, please wear something before walking out of your room half naked" she groans into her hands
"I didn't walk out of the room"
"Yet" He sighs loudly before walking into his room and slamming the door shut behind him.
"You can turn around now" He says and she drops her hands from her flushed face. Slowly, she turns around and meets his gaze. She clears her throat and averts her gaze from his face to her living room, which suddenly seems to pique her interest.
"I wanted to talk with Parvathi, but since you're here I'd like to make some things clear between us" She says, dropping her hands to the side. Akshay tries not to look at her scratched arms and focus on what she is going to say.
"Umm... Since you and I will be... You know, a couple. Pretend couple" She promptly corrects herself before continuing. "From tomorrow. Umm... So, I'll make this clear and short. Just because you pretended to be my boyfriend in front of my ex doesn't mean I don't hate you" She stops to watch his face. His permanent narrowed gaze has now been replaced with a glint of amusement touching up at the corners of his lips.
"I'll still continue to hate you for what you've done to me in the past" She nods to herself before continuing
"That being said, there are some rules I want to establish here, in our fake relationship" She announces and he rubs his lips in thought, slightly amused.
"You have a contract?" He asks, watching her frown.
"No. But, I hope you'll take this as seriously as how you'll be taking contracts" she folds her arms against her chest, in thought. He nods, fully amused. Saesha looks behind akshay to make sure Parvathi isn't eavesdropping on their conversation.
"She is in her office asking for permission to come with us" He says, as if he could read her mind. Saesha nods multiple times before landing her gaze on akshay.
"Okay now back to our conversation. There are some rules I want you to follow" she announces
"Number one, no touching. You should not touch me without my permission. Number two, you shouldn't tell me how to dress and what not to dress and the last one, you should get me whatever I ask for, like for example, if I ask for a chocolate, you should be buying me one immediately" She scrunches up her nose in thought, whether if she should add any more rules or stop here.
"Okay. That's it, I guess" she sighs and looks at akshay, who has been silently watching her.
"Do you want to add anything?" she asks after an uncomfortable silence.
"No. We are good" he nods, amused and she gives him thumbs up before walking away.
-----------
"No no, I'll be back after a week... Yep, all the marketing projects folders are inside the 2B room... Right, don't miss me too much" Saesha speaks.
"Also, I want you to take a very good care of puli" She adds sternly and on the side of the phone, Satya curses out loudly.
"What was that?"
"Unnoda puli ku kai kal irukkunu kaamichittu irukku" Satya rubs his cheek, hissing loudly. Saesha erupts into a fit of giggles.
"Romba sirikathey. Podi, na theriyama ivana paathukurenu sollitano" He wonders out loud and sighs.
"Sai"
"Sollu da"
"Nee happy ah irukkila?" the sudden question throws her off guard and she bites her lower lip.
"Romba" She says softly and he heaves out what sounds like a sigh of relief.
"Call me if you need anything, okay?" he adds
"Ofcourse. I gotta go. Don't miss me too much" She adds and hangs up.
-----------
Parvathi and Saesha walk side by side, while Akshay leads their way through the railway station
"passengers are reminded to mind the gap between the train and platform edge when boarding." The announcement goes off.
"How do you feel about meeting my parents?" Parvathi asks and saesha looks ready to spill everything about her fake relationship.
"To be honest, I'm kind of nervous" She says and heaves out a sigh.
"I still can't believe you guys are in love" Parvathi says before turning her attention back to her phone. Saesha's eyes widen and lips part in shock, meanwhile Akshay stays unfazed by the statement.
"Whats.. What's so hard to believe?" She asks, after recovering herself
"Hmm.. I mean you guys don't even talk to each other much" She says, her eyes still glued to the phone and adds "At least not in front of me. Do you guys talk dirty or something?" Parvathi asks, the corner of her lips raised upwards. Saesha chokes on her own saliva while Akshay watches her.
"Parvathi, drop it" Akshay warns his sister and she shrugs in response.
"I'm just curious" Parvathi says, before returning her attention back to her phone.
"Hey, do you need water?" Akshay gestures to Sai, and she nods frantically. Dropping the suitcases with Parvathi, they both walk off to a water bottle stall.
"Here" Akshay passes her the water bottle and she takes it without any reluctance. Saesha gulps down the whole water while Akshay pays for the water bottle. He clears his throat and she looks at him to see his head turned towards the other side. He clears his throat again and this time she examines his hand which was sticking out. Confused, she passes the empty water bottle and his head immediately whips to her side.
"What?" he asks, genuinely confused.
"What what?" she folds her arms against her chest
"Why did you give me the water bottle?" He questions and she looks down at the empty bottle she has passed him.
"You were asking for it. Didn't you?" he shakes his head and smiles in mock happiness.
"My God, Saesha, you were supposed to hold my hand" He shakes his head again at her and she looks at him bewildered.
"You asked me to ask before touching you. And I was making it easy. I don't want anyone doubting our relationship" He explains and she looks down at his large hand.
"Itha vaaya thoranthu munnadiye solrathu" She rolls her eyes before taking the water bottle and tossing it on the garbage. She then wraps her tiny fingers around his large hand, ignoring the tingling sensations.
"Next time you clear your throat, I'm gonna hand you Vicks" She says and looks at him, who looks mildly amused by her threat.
