His Stalker (DekuBaku)

Part 20

{Kacchan's POV}

Deku is staring at me again, he's gonna give himself away like this, fucking dumbass.
"Y-You're crazy!" Uraraka yelps. I glance at her for a moment. He's not gonna take that just like that is he?
"Heh, yeah I am." You can just hear in his voice that he's smiling. How long has he been like this, a villain I mean. Is it since he disappeared? Did he disappear because he's a villain? I try standing up but my legs fail out on me and I keep holding onto the tail guy, I think his name is Ojiro.
After a few minutes other heroes arrive, including All Might, the moment they arrive Deku runs down the stairs, back to the other villains.

{Deku's POV}

"Shiggy, All Might's here." I shift my mask slightly, revealing mostly my eyes, not much more. "Finally." My brother groans, somewhat annoyed. In the files I'd taken earlier it said that he would be there from the start but he wasn't, which for our task became quite the problem.
"Took him long enough." Ace chimes in. As heroes are running to us I take it on myself to attack the students again, trying to hold off heroes on the way, at some point Snipe almost shot my brains out.
"Rude." I groan, throwing a knife back at him, it's weird not to have Shadow in battle but I don't want more people to recognize me, that would royally fuck things up.
"Child, whatch out!" I turn around to see what Ace is talking about but immediately feel a stinging pain in my chest. I look down and see my suit all messed up, covered my own blood.
Ace sprints to me, catching me right before I fall to the ground.
"Fuck.. You have to get out of here." I vaguely hear him mutter. I glance up the stairs, where the studets are being held back by heroes. Kacchan is looking at me in horror.
Ace takes a cigarette and lights it, creating a thick smoke around us.
Kurogiri appears next to us and Ace pushes me into a warp gate, holding onto me tightly.
When we first met one of the first things he told me was that he had nothing with children, yet he seemed to care quite a lot now.
I realize we're in the Doctor's lab when Ace calls out for the old man. My mind lost the conversation as it only seemed able to focuss on the rain softly tapping the roof and single window.

{Ace's POV}

This fucking child really has the audacity to get shot right in front of me.
The Doctor quickly came running into the room and saw me holding up the Child.
"What happened?" he asks, gesturing for me to set him down on a small table usually reserved for me when I have a test or checkup.
"Snipe happened." The doctor just nods and orders for me to take off the child's shirt so he can inspect the wound better.
Honestly I'm blaming myself for this, I could've stopped it easier then just screaming for him to 'watch out'. I could've reached thay guy so much faster.
"Ace are you listening?" my head snaps up, facing the doctor.
"What?"
"Are you hurt anywhere?" I shake my head quickly and take a quick glance at the Child.
"Will he be ok?" I ask, wiping away something in my eye. The doctor nods reluctantly.
"Good.." I mutter to myself. To be fair, I'd gotten quite attached to the kid over the week I've been looking after him and him dying wouldn't be fair, he is a child after all. Heroes shouldn't kill children.
"It might take some time before he wakes up so I recomend you go home for now, I'll give you a call when he wakes up." I hesitantly nod and check my phone to see if my boyfriend is home.
"I'll be back tomorrow morning to check up. Goodnight sir." before I go I quickly take off the child's mask, making sure to keep it on the nightstand next to him for when he does wake up. When I'm sure he's comfortable I leave. Through the front door for once.

Whem outside I give my boyfriend a call.
"Hey Kei, can you come pick me up? I just got off work and the busses stopped driving early today." I can't resist a small smile when hearinf the man's voice.
"Sure, where you at?"
"I'll send you my location. Thanks." I hang up, not waiting for a response.

A few minutes later he rolls up in his way too expensive car and opens the door for me.
"Hey pretty boy." He mutters. I roll my eyes and get in the car. Kei frowns and sits back down in the drivers seat.
"You ok? You look sad did something happen?" I hesitate to tell him, mostly thinking of a way to tell him what happened without telling him I'm a villain.
"Just work being annoying that's all." I mutter eventually. It obviously isn't enough for him but he just starts driving.
"Hey Pretty Boy?" I look up. "Hm?"

"If anything really bad happened you'd tell me right? You know I can fix it I-"
"Kei. You know I will. I'd never lie to you." I activated one of my quirks saying that last line.

'Manipulation: when focusing on a conversation I can 'suggest' something to the other person, turning them to a trans like state and making them agree with whatever I say.'

"Yeah.." I honestly hate using that quirk on him.. Yet I still keep doing it for some stupid reason. He shakes his head and focusses back on the road.
"I'm sorry for calling you at this hour." I mutter after a while of silence.
"Don't worry 'bout it, I was still at the office anyway. Some attack on UA today made me have to stay longer for if we got a call for backup." I nod. Another short silence.
Unconsiously I start fidgetting with one of my earrings, Kei stiffens up immediately as my finger repeatidly strokes the red feather.
