"I'm gonna fucking kill her-"

It wasn't Ace talking. It wasn't even me talking. It was Hawks. Everyone looked at him, even Ace got hit out of his anger trance. Hawks was also staring at the door, his wings slightly puffed up from what I assume is anger.
"Kei.. No. They're gonna blame me for that. You don't want that, do you?" Those last few words seemed different. As if... Idk, different. Keigo looked back at Ace, his eyes looking foggy, Ace looked back at him apologetically.
"Sorry- I won't.. For now." He glared back at the door. I was thinking about that girl, what had she meant with that Ace's dad left him? She had obviously been referring to Aizawa, the only known father figure I could think of for Ace. What did she mean with that he left him? What happened between them?

Ace finally looked at his phone, which showed a score of 100%. He didn't even smile, just closed his phone and gestured for us to get up.
"I'll drive you two home." Then he turned to Hawks and kissed his cheek softly. "I'll see you home." Hawks just nods and leaps out the open window. Ace leads us outside and to his car.

"What was that?!" Once we're outside I take out my notebook and scribble down what I assume is one of Ace's quirks.
"Manipulation quirk. I used it on Sensei so he allowed me to date Keigo.. I don't like using it on the bird." He explains quickly as he opens the door to the drivers seat, gesturing for us to get in too.

"Now, mind explaining why you two were there?" Kacchan was first to say anything.
"Shigaraki told us about it and Deku wanted to follow you so we did. Please don't half kill him again.." Ace looked at us through the rear mirror, he looked somewhat guilty. Did he regret almost choking me?
"I won't. And sorry for that outburst yesterday. I was tired and you ruined my date and I had to take responsibility for it." He rolled up his left sleeve and revealed the cut I'd given him. It wasn't bleeding but it looked nasty and was covered in black goo, like what he gets from the new quirk.
"I went to the doctor this morning, Keigo doesn't know how bad its gotten since last night. He thinks it only itches a bit. It was like this when I woke up this morning." I stare at the scar until Ace rolls his sleeve down.

"Again, sorry for almost killing you child. I really didn't mean to take my anger out on you." I nod, it didn't sound like he was using his manipulation quirk, and I think if he did Kacchan would notice and say something about it.
"It's fine.. I did kind of deserve it." I state, smiling slightly. What bothered me more is that Shadow hadn't done anything to stop Ace, maybe cause we were usually really close and had playfights before, did he take this as one too? What if we were actually fighting and I was in trouble, what would Shadow do? He'd follow my commands, right?

"So.. We're good again?" I question hesitantly, somehow still afraid he might lash out at me. "As long as you don't do something like that again, yeah we're fine." Ace smiles somewhat reassuringly. I nod and sigh with some sort of relief.
"Who was that girl? What was she talking about?" Ace doesn't really respond beside a small twitch in his neck. After a few seconds he sighs and pulls over on the side of the road.

"What are you doing?" I question as Ace steps out of the car, grabbing his pack of cigarettes as he does so.
"I'm not gonna smoke with two kids in the car." He mutters, closing the door. I look at him for a second before opening my door.
"Shadow stay. You too Kacchan.." Kacchan, who was about to follow me shrugs and opens his phone.

"Ace?" Ace glances at me, with slightly watery eyes. "Are you.. Are you crying?" Ace quickly wipes his eyes and shakes his head.
"No. Just the smoke getting in my eye. Get back in the car Child." I shake my head and lean against the car next to him. "What's wrong? You shouldn't cry. It's not normal." Ace chuckles softly, sounding somewhat amused.
"Why is it not normal?" He questions, glancing back at Kacchan, who is still sitting in the car patiently.

"Well.. You're like a dad to me.. I guess, parents don't cry.. Most of them anyway." I thought back to my mom, who cried at everything.
"That girl you asked about, she's been bullying me from day one, always telling me people will forget me like what happened to her. Most people leave after my performance is over." I nod, he didn't respond to what I'd said, but at least he was talking to me.
"What about what she said today? Has she said that before?" He nods, not even bothering to look at me as he lights a second cigarette.
"When Aizawa stopped coming to my shows she started saying it. Claiming he probably gave up on me." He clenched his empty fist and looked like he was about to hit the car.. Or me for that matter.

"She knew he was like a father figure to me, like I am to you. She's never said it with Keigo around up until now.. And she's never brought him into it either." He wipes his eyes again and puts out the cig.
"let's get you back to the base before Shiggy dusts my ass." I crack a smile and nod.

When we arrive at the bar Shigaraki is waiting for us by the door. Ace just pushes me and Kacchan into the bar and closes the door, immediately leaving again.
