I carefully step out of the bathroom, dressed in the only thing Keigo had left which still belonged to him. One of the hoodies he knew I found comfortable.
When Aizawa sees me the first thing he does is embrace me.
"I'm sorry kiddo." I crack a smile. He still called me that after years, and despite the fact I don't think I'd qualify as a kid anymore.
"It's fine." I mutter, wrapping my arms around him in response. We made our way to the living room, just chatting about how things have been at UA recently and how my school has been.
When he sits down, Aizawa looks around curiously.
"I half expected Hawks here, I thought he lived with you?" I look away slightly, Keigo had hardly left anything inclining he was ever here.
"We got into a fight, and he left. Moved out just today actually." I blink away the tears welling up in my eyes and look back at my parent. He looked back sympathetically. We were quiet for a while after that, just sipping at hot tea and looking out over the city below us."He.. Hawks I mean.. He called me a few minutes before I got here. Said something had happened and told me to check up on you." Really like him. "Torin, what was your argument about?" My hesitation was apparently very visible as Aizawa eyed me up and down before sighing, and telling me it doesn't matter.
And, of course just my luck, the child calls me just as I'm showing Aizawa something.
"Midoriya?" I nod and pick up the phone."Hey Child. Bad timing but what's up?" Aizawa keeps looking out the window.
"Ehm.. Sorry for that? But I wanted to check on something for the summer camp. Do you still have one of those trackers you use on Hawks? So it's easier for us to follow the class without having to closely drive behind them." I hesitate for a moment, glancing at Aizawa on the couch next to me.
"I do still have that yeah. I'll take one with me tomorrow. Now stop calling me in the middle of the night and go to bed kid." Aizawa chuckles lightly next to me as I hang up, not waiting for the child to respond."I.. Heard you adopted another kid? The purple haired one." Aizawa obviously hesitates. "Yeah. I should've told you that earlier huh?" Yes. Yes you should've. I just nod.
"He looks like a good kid." I mutter, trying my best to suppress the twitching from my quirk. "So does Midoriya." I crack a smile."Yeah.. The child mostly bothers me in all honesty, does things like calling me in the middle of the night."
We talk for another while until the sun starts coming up and I yawn loudly. Aizawa gets up from the couch and grabs his coat.
"I'll leave you now, I've got a certain summer camp to get to on time." I smile and nod, also getting up and grabbing our now empty mugs. We both make our way to the kitchen and I set both mugs down on the counter.
"It was nice talking to you again." Aizawa states, still that same smile laying on his lips. I nod again, feeling his hand on my shoulder."We've got a family game night planned next Sunday, you're welcome to come too." I just stare at him, it had always just been me and him, I never knew he had a whole other family..
"I'll see if I can make it, can you text me the location?" Aizawa nods, and with that he leaves.
I'm surprised he didn't recognize me from the USJ attack. I probably won't be as lucky a second time.{Time skip to the day of the summer camp attack} {3rd POV}
"Child." Deku turns to his parental figure, smiling slightly. "What's up?" Ace tried finding the right words for what he wanted to say, but the events of the recent week were clouding up his mind.
He hadn't told Deku about the breakup between him and Hawks, nor had he said anything about catching up with his own dad.
"Ace? You alright?" He shook his head slightly, trying to get his thoughts straight. "Y-yeah. Ehm.. Be careful." Deku just smiled and nodded. Ace forced a small smile onto his lips as he turned back around and walked into the dark forest. Deku followed short after, getting help from Shadow to climb into a nearby tree.
"Alright bud, you stay on the ground, I'll hit them from in the trees. Get Kacchan to Kurogiri." Shadow nodded vaguely and ran off.Deku stood up on the branch he had been sitting on and finally put on his mask. He'd been training for this moment for weeks and his balance was just good enough to run in between trees, from branch to branch. At least he hoped it was. He looked around him shortly, seeing a thick smoke appear around him, not only from Ace he realized, Dabi had set part of the woods on fire.
"If everything goes to shit. If it all fails. Just burn everything down. Kill as many people as you can."
Ace had told Dabi. This wasn't part of that and Deku knew it. They barely started yet. He kept jumping between branches, looking down as he hears a short yelp. Uraraka and Mina were standing right bellow him and were staring up at him with big, fear filled eyes.
"Good morning Ladies." He smiled before sprinting on, these weren't the people he needed, Shadow would kill them eventually.
Neither of the girls tried stopping him, they just stood there, frozen in place, staring after him. After a while he came into a cloud of smoke he assumed was created by Ace, his thoughts were confirmed when he saw the familiar dark blue hair of his parent, he smiled and stopped for just a second.
"Ace!" Ace looked up at him with a small smile. "Morning." he hummed, still smiling.
"Is there anyone else here?" Ace shook his head, smile fading into a small frown. "Nope, they're all in the other side of the forest, but Eraserhead is there so I'm not going." He explained. Deku nodded and turned to his right, where apparently everyone was. This was quickly confirmed by multiple loud screams.
"I'll go see who it was." He smiled, and ran off."Please be careful kid.." Ace muttered to himself. He'd been having this gut feeling that something bad was gonna happen, and it didn't get better as his kid was running towards where all the violence was.
