"It's delightful..."

As Kai awoke, he was greeted with the smell of pancakes. He hadn't even realized where he was until he heard someone.

"Finally up?" Quinn asked him.

Kai rubbed his eyes and propped himself up on his elbows. He was still on the couch and he had a blanket over top of him.

"I guess so," Just then, his phone rang.

"Better answer that, it's been going off all morning. It woke me up so I don't know how you slept through it," Quinn flipped a pancake.

Kai stretched a bit then reached for his phone. It was Greg calling him.

"Hello," Kai said in a hoarse tone as he answered.

"I swear if you kids don't stop leaving me and not giving me a notice I'm gonna-"

"Slow down there, I just woke up,"

Greg huffed, "Aisha said you've been gone since yesterday and you haven't answered any of us. We were a few minutes away from calling the police."

Kai looked at Quinn then he flopped down on the couch again, "Well, I'm fine. I'm at someone's house right now."

"Do you not remember what Lana said? She told us all to stay careful and you aren't staying careful by just-"

"I mean Beatrix just ran off the other night and Lana went to a ball with a Russian dude, so why can't I?"

Greg was silent for a minute, "Fine. But when you get back here.... Well I don't know now, but I will."

"Sure you will," Kai muttered, "Anyways, goodbye."

"Bye bye. Be back here soon," He said it angrily, which made Kai snicker a bit. He then hung up and put his phone back where it was.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Kai rubbed his eyes again.

Quinn turned around while holding the pan, "You looked so cute when you were asleep. I didn't wanna disturb you."

"What if like... one of my friends died?"

"Did one of them die?"

"Well no.... But-"

"Then I was right," Quinn put one pancake on both of the plates in front of him, "Hungry?"

"I guess so," Kai shoved the blanket off of him and stood up to stretch. He was still in the same clothes as yesterday, so he was unsure how he even slept. He sat on one of the stools at the island.

"What even happened yesterday?" Kai asked as Quinn slid his plate to him.

"Well, after we saw that.... airport explosion on the news, we tried to distract ourselves so we took more pictures and I even made you some dinner. Then after that you passed out," Quinn handed him silverware, along with butter and syrup.

While Quinn had already explained it, Kai still had one question in his mind. He was completely embarrassed to ask it, but he had to.

"Did we like... umm?"

Quinn looked at him for a minute with confusion. Then he finally understood, "Oh, no. It all happened how I said it. And when you passed out I just gave you a blanket and went to my room."

Kai gave a sigh of relief, "Oh thank god," Then he realized how bad that sounded, "Well not that like... Well if I could- No wait... Umm-"

"It's fine. I didn't take that in a negative way," Quinn smirked. Kai did a weak chuckle and started putting butter on his pancake.
