"...compared to its counterpart."

"The food here sucks," Korey complained as he dangled his legs over the edge of a loveseat. He held a half-eaten éclair in one hand and a cup full of Pepsi in another.

"You must be in denial," Leo told him as he devoured a croissant.

"Speaking of food, when can I actually have something to eat?" Vincent groaned, still stuck to his chair.

"You have eaten you troll," Nixon said, unbuttoning his suit jacket.

"Troll? That's a new one. And much less creative,"

Nixon rolled his eyes, "You're the one tied to a chair."

"You said something once along the lines of 'I'm the one with the dagger' and not even that ended well for you. Why are you still trying?"

Nixon stayed quiet, prompting Vincent to talk more.

"And, to be honest, all that you've given me to eat over the last few days is cereal that Leo spoon-feeds to me. That isn't an experience I really want anymore,"

"Aww, why not sugar?" Leo sat up, bits of croissant around his mouth.

"Don't call me that,"

"Honey?"

"You're making it worse,"

"Daddy?"

"Okay!" Kolton hollered, "Enough of that. Leo, go to the bathroom and eat some soap."

"God you sound like my dad," he rolled his eyes and fell backwards onto the bed and started doing impressions of his dad, "'Don't ever curse in front of me or I'll shove soap down your throat!' 'If you say those devil words anymore, I'll shove your face into some Scrubbing Bubbles!' All of that was very funny to hear at the ripe old age of seven after you said 'dang',"

"Was that a trauma-dump?" Kolton asked.

"No, it was stand-up comedy," Leo sat up again, but was greeted by Korey throwing his éclair at his head, "Hell was that for!?"

"Trauma-dumper," Korey joked, "You think that's bad? When I got sent to an orphanage, a nun literally made me eat soap."

"Well... My parents always looked at my brother's little achievement rather than my giant ones,"

"Weak. I got beat up every week in an asylum,"

"I'm getting flashbacks to my psychiatrist days," Nixon mumbled, which made them shut up. They, including Kolton, slightly glanced over to Vincent, but then went back to eating the platter of pastries on a table.

"Why'd you look at me like that?" Vincent asked them. When he got no answer, he got antsy, "Excuse me! Tell me!"
"Oh my god," Nixon's head fell back as he sighed. He looked back to Vincent, "Shut up."

"I wanna know why they looked at me like that,"

Nixon's face went into a slight smirk, "Oh, do you really wanna know?"

"Why are you so weird? Just tell me,"

"Well, it may be because-"

"Everyone sit down," Carmen said as she slammed the door. She had just come in from a call.

"What did he say?" Kolton asked.

"What did who say?" Vincent asked.

"You ask a lot of questions," Korey commented.
