Chapter 6: Lestat and Jesse

Jesse's POV:
Akasha looked at Lestat; and then pointed at me. She kept her finger pointed at me, while looking at Lestat. "Kill her." Akasha said. Lestat didn't want to do it, so I walked towards him. "It's okay. Go ahead, I've already talked to aunt Maharet about it." I said. Lestat wrapped one arm around my waist; and rested his other hand on the back of my neck. I moved my hair out of his way; and tilted my head to the side. Soon I felt Lestat's fangs enter my flesh; and I began to hear my blood leave my body. "I love you Lestat." I said before soon drifting into unconsciousness. "I love you too Jesse." Lestat whispered. Lestat then stood up straight; and acted as if he was listening to Akasha, which the ancients knew he wasn't. Akasha offered her arm; and Lestat bit it, as he did he made eye contact with Marius. As soon as the ancients attacked, Lestat pulled away; and went over to my body. He then bit his wrist; and put it down to my mouth.

As soon as I caught the smell of his blood, I bit his wrist. After I had gotten enough I pulled away. "Are you feeling alright?" Lestat asked. "Yes." I said as I looked up at him. I then leaned up so that I was closer to him. Once I was close enough I pressed my lips against his, as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I continued to kiss him, as I felt him return the kiss. "I see aunt Maharet has gone to sleep." I said. "Yea she is." Lestat said. I rested my hand against his cheek; and smiled. I was happy to be with him. "I love you Lestat." I said. "I love you too Jesse." Lestat said as Marius walked up to us. I looked over at him as I held onto Lestat, and gave him a small smile. He gave me one in return as he looked at me. "Welcome to immortality Jesse." Marius said.

I looked at Marius and nodded my head. I then stood up with Lestat; and leaned against him. "What now?" I asked as I looked at Lestat; and Marius. "We'll be going back to my mansion." Lestat said. "Alright." I said. After a few minutes we made it to Lestat's mansion. As I sat in the living room area of Lestat's mansion I began to clutch at my throat, as I could hear faint heartbeats. "Is everything alright?" Lestat asked. "My throat hurts Lestat." I said as I looked at him. "It's time to taste human blood." Lestat said. I nodded my head as I looked at Lestat. Soon we left the mansion; and went into town, for my first feeding. After I had fed, we left back to the mansion.
