Chapter 14: Ashe and Sarah

A/n: This chapter is a bit shorter then others

Ashe's POV:
I sat on the side of the bed as, I smiled while watching Sarah sleep for awhile. I then got up off the bed; and walked out of the room. I walked into Danny's room to check on him, before soon hearing a knock at the front door. Upon hearing it I went over to the door; and opened it. Once I opened the door, I noticed Jesse at the door. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Not really. Can I stay with you; and Sarah?" Jesse asked. "Sure." I said as I stepped aside to let her in. She walked in; and went over to the couch. Soon Sarah woke up from her nap; and came outside. "She would like to stay with us." I said referring to Jesse. "That's fine." Sarah said wrapping her arms around my waist, to which I wrapped my arms around hers. We stayed like this for a bit, before going over to Jesse.

We sat on the right side of her with Sarah in the middle, as I didn't feel comfortable sitting in the middle. Sarah rested her hand on Jesse's hand, as she looked at her. "What's bothering you Jesse?" Sarah asked. "I don't know how to explain it really. I'm worried for Lestat." Jesse said. This made Sarah frown as she looked at, Jesse. "What's wrong with him?" Sarah asked. "Lestat had to go with Marius; and Armand to either turn a child he had with Akasha to our vampiric ways or destroy her completely." Jesse explained. I raised my eyebrow as I look at Jesse. "Was he under her control before he was with you?" Sarah asked. "Yes." Jesse said. Sarah nodded her head as she held my hand with her free hand.

Jesse hands start to shake as she looked down at her lap. She was beyond worried about Lestat; and I could see it written all over her face. "Jesse, you love him right?" I asked as I looked at her. I waited for her to answer my question as she stayed quiet for awhile. "Yes I love him." Jesse said. "Then trust him." I said to which Jesse nodded her head. I think she understand why I was saying it. Jesse let out a sigh while she continued to hang her head down. I could understand that she was worried, as Lestat was her lover; and I know I would be worried if Sarah had to leave too. I looked from Jesse to Sarah; and lightly squeezed her hand. "He'll be alright." Sarah said. "I know he will be, after all Marius; and Armand will be with him." Jesse said.
