Chapter 16: Ashe and Sarah

Sarah's POV:
It had been nine months now since I've been pregnant; and the baby would be here soon. It was a lot easier then I expected, I guess that's because I had the help from Ashe. "Ashe." I said as I looked at him, causing him to look at me. "What is it love?" Ashe asked. "I want cuddles please." I said hoping I didn't sound to needy. Ashe took me into his arms; and held me close to his chest, allowing me to rest my head against it. I smiled as I felt safe with Ashe; and I felt happy with him too. "I love you." I said while smiling. "I love you too." Ashe said with a small smile. I continued to smile as I noticed Danny run in the room. "Are you okay mom?" Danny asked with a frown on his face. "Yes sweetheart. I'm okay." I said. "Good." Danny said with a big smile, which made both Ashe; and I smile.

I heard a knock at the door; and knew exactly who it was. I knew it was Lestat; and Jesse since they're the only people, whom visited us. "Danny go ahead and let Lestat; and Jesse in." Ashe said. "Ok dad." Danny said as he ran to the door; and opened it. Once the door opened Danny made eye contact with both Jesse; and Lestat. "Hey buddy." Jesse said as Danny hugged her. "Hi Jesse." Danny said. Danny then went to Lestat; and hugged him. "Hey bud." Lestat said as he returned Danny's hug. Lestat noticed Danny look around, indicating he was looking for Marius. Lestat stepped to the side, to show that Marius was standing behind him. Ashe looked towards the door, then at Sarah. "I'll be right back love." Ashe said. "Alright." I said.

I watched as Ashe got up; and off the couch. He then leaned down towards me; and kissed my forehead. He then walked over to the door; and picked Danny up. "Hello." Ashe said. "Hey Ashe." Lestat said. Ashe held Danny in his arms as he looked at the three vampires. "So how is everything Ashe?" Jesse said. "Its good. What about for you?" Ashe asked. "Mine and Lestat's lives are good." Jesse said. Ashe nodded his head as he held Danny in his arms. "Oh Ashe how's Sarah doing with the pregnancy?" Jesse asked. "She's doing good." Ashe said. "That's great Ashe." Lestat said. Ashe nodded his head, as he looked at me. Soon they had headed home, allowing Ashe to come back to me; and hold me again. Soon I began to feel painful contracts, causing me to press my hand against my stomach.

Soon Ashe caught onto what was wrong; and got me to the hospital. He had also contacted Lestat; and Jesse, to keep watch over Danny. My water had not yet broke, but all I seemed to do was feel the pain. Tears start to fall but they didn't continue all way down my face, as Ashe wiped them away every time they fell. "It's alright love. I promise." Ashe said. I'm glad he's by my side; and felt grateful for his support. Him and our son mean everything to me.
