Chapter 12: Ashe and Sarah

Sarah's POV:
It had been a couple of days now since Ashe; and I had returned home with Danny. For the past three days now I have been throwing up; and eating a lot more. I didn't understand what was going on. Remembering our honeymoon, I don't remember getting sick. For the past two days I've been told by Ashe, that we should see a doctor. But I told him whatever it is should pass soon. As I laid in bed I heard the bedroom door open. "Hey love." Ashe said as he sat on the edge of the bed beside me; and looked down at me. "Hey." I said. Ashe took my hand in his own; as he looked down at me. "We really should see the doctor. I have my suspicions of what's going on with you." Ashe said. "You seen this before?" I asked. Ashe nodded his head as he continued to look at me. I thought about it then nodded my head.

I slowly sat up in the bed; and I curled up next to Ashe. I thought for a moment on who'd watch Danny. "Who's gonna watch Danny?" I asked. "We could ask Lestat; and Jesse to?" Ashe said questioningly. "Yes we could." I said as I called Jesse; and asked her. I was thankful her; and Lestat were willing to. Soon they both showed up with another male. "We had Marius come with us, since Danny seemed to like him." Jesse said. "That's alright." I said. Ashe took me to a close by hospital, as he knew the motorcycle wouldn't help my situation. While at the hospital we waited for a doctor to see me. I wondered what Ashe's suspicions were; and I wondered if he would be correct. Soon a doctor called us back. I stood up onto my feet; and intertwined my fingers through Ashe's.

I stayed close to Ashe as I was nervous about what was wrong with me. Soon we did all the procedures to see what the issue was. We waited for an hour to see the results from the doctor. "Ashe, I'm scared." I said causing Ashe's eyes to shift towards me. "I promise you'll be okay." Ashe said. Soon the doctor showed up, with the results for me. "Is everything okay with me?" I asked in a fearful tone. "Yes everything is alright, but.." he said. "But what?" I said cutting him off. Ashe squeezed my hand, to silently tell me to let the doctor finish. "The results showed that you're pregnant." he said making we tear up. I had always wanted to have a child ever since I met Danny. I turned to look at Ashe, hoping he was happy about it. "How do you feel about this?" I asked. "Happy." Ashe said making me smile.

We soon walked back to the house; and walked in making Lestat, Jesse, Danny; Marius look up. Jesse then got up; and walked up to me. "Is everything okay? Are you okay?" Jesse asked. I nodded my head, then walked over to the others with Ashe; and Jesse. "So if you're okay, then why have you been feeling sick?" Lestat asked. "Well." Ashe said asked he looked at me, causing me to smile. I looked at him, then back at the others. "The reason I've been feeling sick; and throwing up, is because I'm pregnant." I said as I held Ashe's hand. This made them smile; and confused Danny. "That's wonderful to hear." Marius said. This made me smile as I looked at them. A few minutes later they left; and we explained to Danny what I said had meant, which made him smile.
