Falling asleep on the sofa only moments later.

Maya awoke to someone banging on her door, she looked over and seen that it was 6am. Someone woke her up 30 minutes before she needed to be up for the gym. The blonde decided to just ignore the disturbance and see if they would go away, however that didn't happen.

"Maya I know you're in there." Gibson started shouting through the walls.

"UUGH" Maya was now awake, dragging herself out of bed, with a blanket wrapped around herself to keep warm and cosy as she waddled to the front door.

"What is it Jack" she said very abruptly as she opened the door slightly.

"Yeh what's my problem, um you have been ignoring me for two whole days and only a week ago you couldn't go a day without sleeping with me?" "Please tell me what the hell is going on with you?"

"Nothing"

"Okay I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that" Gibson starting to get offended by Maya's lack of interest in their conversation.

"Look Jack I don't want to be around you 24/7, can't you just respect that?" The captain letting her anger creep in a little but not enough to show to Jack.

"But your my girlfriend" he had a hurt look in is eye now.

"Woah Gibson we are not together and I am certainly not your girlfriend"

"What so you've been seeing other people then is that it? Cant keep your pants on for longer than five minutes" Jack becoming defensive. "You having sex in that supply closet yesterday huh? ANSWER ME MAYA" Jacks anger boiled over as he let his mind run to any potential conclusion that meant Maya didn't want to be with him other than the fact she just didn't want to be with him.

Even though Maya knew it was because of Carina, there was no way in hell she was going to let him know that.

"Jack I am not doing this with you right now. You are tired and angry. We had a rough day yesterday. Go home, take the day off." Maya was trying so hard to keep her cool and by ending the confrontation now was her best bet of not waking her neighbours up by screaming at Jack. Because he just made her so fucking mad all the time. And then the anger would turn to lust and then they'd have sex. It was not a healthy situation ship at all. Maya knew that. It's why she didn't want to be Jack's girlfriend.

Maya went to shut her door over and return to her bed but as she started to do so, Jack stuck his hand between the door frame and the door.

"Maya what the fuck, you can't just tell me not-"

"NO Jack, we are not doing this now. Goodbye." she slammed the door shut and ran back to her bed. Setting her alarm to 7am to allow her full resting time.

"That's why I think the budgets should be reassessed because we're not reaching our full potential here" Maya was just rapping up a zoom meeting with high up people in the fire department when she caught Jack walking through the front door. His intentions clear by his slumped body language. He was really going to put up a fight with this one. Maya didn't even understand why because he literally asked Andy to marry him and got over her quickly when she said no. The zoom ended and Maya headed out to the beanery to have a chat with her team. Before she reached her destination, a hand came out from one of the doors and grabbed her. Jack pinned Maya to the wall and started kissing her neck. Maya's reaction being the complete opposite to when the mystery Italian woman did it to her only 48 hours ago. Maya pushed Jack off her and he stumbled into the wall.

"Jack".

He looked up at the blonde he was starting to fall for, anger fierce in her eyes.

"Your drunk." She said sternly in her Captain's voice. "Go home Gibson."
