TW - BLOOD/DESCRIPTION OF INJURY

"Yeah, I know" Carina also feeling herself drift off.

Maya woke up first, cuddling into Carina as she remembered yesterday's events. The Italian was still sound asleep so Maya decided to go on her phone. It was 5am, which meant she was now on shift. It also meant Carina's shift would start in an hour. They both knew each others schedule because trying to see each other was actually pretty difficult, as they both had heavy work loads. Carina having research on top of being the best OBGYN in Grey Sloan. Maya being the only female Captain in Seattle, making her feel pressure to be perfect at all times. So she would take on more, work longer hours, train her team harder, train herself harder. She felt exhausted most days. However this was the third time she was waking up next to Carina, and it was the third time she'd had a decent sleep. Carina allowed her to relax and forget about work. Carina made her happy. Maya loved her job, it was her life. It just made it hard for her to enjoy other things. Because she was so constantly focused on work work work. It was the way her dad trained her to be. 

As she scrolled down her notifications, the blonde seen the texts her best friend had been spamming her phone with.

Andy :) : Bro did you get Carina???

Andy :) : She came here!! She's coming to tell you she fancies you😏😏

Andy :) : Pls tell me you found her

Andy :) : Or she found you

Andy :) : Either way ARE Y'ALL TOGETHER???????

Andy :) : Ok i've decided your together and the ONLY reason you ignoring me is because you are having sex and i'm not important right now.

"My god" Maya laughed to herself, making Carina toss in her sleep, but not quite waking up.

Maya slowly moved from Carina's warm embrace, and the warm bed, god she wanted to stay in that warm bed. The room was so cold. Most likely because she had no clothes on but nevertheless it was freezing. The Captain walked over to her locker and got out a fresh uniform ready to start another day. 

The blonde got dressed as quietly as she could, proving to be difficult as she fell over trying to get her boots on, not waking Carina but making her grunt a little.

"She's such a deep sleeper" Maya spoke to herself, thinking her girlfriend looked so calm and cosy she didn't want to wake her but she knew she needed too. Another five minutes wouldn't do any harm. Maya took herself to the door of the bunk, she'd do some work while waiting on Carina to wake. 

As Maya opened the the door she heard some whispers, she walked out to find, Andy and Vic sitting on the sofa next to the window of her office.

"What on earth are you doing in here?" Maya rubbing her eyes as she was still sleepy.

"Waiting on you, I want all the details" Andy was eager to hear the story she missed out on yesterday.

"I've already told you" Vic looked at Andy with her 'Hughes look'.

"Yeh but I want to hear first hand, since I wasn't invited to your little get together" Andy joked as Maya sat down at her desk.

The fire Captain tried to hide her smile as she thought back to asking Carina to be her girlfriend. "We just said sorry and I asked her to be my girlfriend and then we had hot hot sex in the bunk."

"LIES" Vic shouted as Maya missed out nearly every detail.

"What? That's what happened" Maya looked at Hughes with confusion and then to the large pile of paperwork she'd been trying to ignore for the past few days.
