Every time Karina tried to awaken herself, a force pulled her down and sealed her eyes shut. Shut from the world, shut from the sound, and shut from the people around her.

However, as time went on in the real world, calamity started to rise and slowly take control.

The room was lit with a gray undertone, the beeping sound of the heart monitor ringing all around. Karina laid there on the bed, an oxygen mask on her mouth as her breath was steady, but could decrease any minute. From up to her feet and her neck, she was covered in a white, warm blanket, one arm on top of it with an IV needle through her vein.

It has been two days since the horrific incident occurred. Kiana and Bronya suffered from scratches, while the rest of the crew were okay.

Kiana lightly gripped Karina's cold hand, the kind of temperature you would feel from a dead individual, however, she wasn't dead at all. "How..." Kiana whimpered, her breath hitching as tears slowly started forming in the corners of her eyes, "...How did I let this happen?"

Kiana's heart ached painfully in her chest, guilt, anger, sadness, and confusion arising in her mind as she pondered. "Rin, I'm so sorry--"

*knock knock*

"Kiana?" Theresa's voice gently spoke through the door, asking to come in, Kiana agreed, and the door opened, a sullen look on Theresa's face as a tired smile came and went as she looked at the two of them.

"Kiana I...have some news," Theresa reported hesitantly as she sat beside her, the two already knew it was about Karina, so Theresa sighed and began to speak again. "Her condition..."

Kiana held her breath for a moment, then released it as her aunt spoke.

"..Has gotten worse."

"How? Why? What worse-"

"Kiana," Theresa said firmly, gentleness laced in her tone as her hand held Kiana's, calming her down as Kiana was becoming more agitated, "This...is upsetting for me, too. But I need you to be calm, even for a moment." Kiana resisted silently, Theresa looking at her, "Please,"
