Y/n's POV

Bucky and I were back at the compound. I planned on searching for Wanda and Sam, but knew there was no point when I saw the Bifrost Mark burned into the ground. Around it were burnt up grass and chunks of the compound building was all over the yard.

Wanda and Sam were here fighting for their lives and I wasn't there to protect them. While they were struggling I was gone...crying over meaningless shit!

"DAMN IT!", I screamed. A wave of energy shot from my hands and blasted the windows of the compound. The glass shattered and fell to the ground.

"We'll get them back", Bucky reassured me.

"No, i'll get them back. You will stay here", I said sternly, like a mother to her child.

Bucky's eyebrows furrowed. "What the hell are you talking about? You think i'm just gonna let you go there alone?"

"Yes"

Bucky scoffed as he walked away from me. "If you think for one second I would just let you leave without me-"

"Bucky! This isn't just some weapons dealer! This is a powerful God who will stop at nothing to get what he wants! And that includes killing you", I argued.

"I. don't. care. I will always be there for you. Whether it's a God, Titan, or weapons dealer, I will be there to protect you!", Bucky said.

I know...that's why I don't want you to go. You will put your life over mine in an instant and if you died trying to protect me...I'd never forgive myself.

Bucky walked closer snapping me out of my thoughts. "Your battles are my battles. Let me help you"

"What if Loki kills you? I can't live without you", my voice breaks.

"He won't because I have you there to protect me and just like I wouldn't let anything happen to you, you'd do the same for me", he smiled.

I smiled back at him. "Yes, I would", I whispered.

Bucky grasped my hand tightly. "Now let's go get Sam and Wanda"

"Okay", I said with determination. I held Bucky's hand tightly. "No matter what do not let go of my hand", I ordered him. He nodded his head.

I looked up at the sky and softly shouted. "Heimdall...?"

I turn my attention back to Bucky. "Take us to Asgard", I say not breaking our eye contact.

Right as the last word leaves my mouth the Bifrost opens and lifts us off the ground. After a couple seconds we are in the Himinbjörg. I see Heimdall standing at the center of it as he pulls out the Bifrost Sword. Slowly he slides the sword back into his scabbard.

He walks down the steps and bows in front of me. "Lady Sigyn, it's great to see you again. Although, I wish it was under better circumstances"

"Please, stand up, Heimdall. You know you don't have to bow to me", I smiled.

"But I will continue to do so because I respect you to much not to", Heimdall says as he stands back up.

I slightly curtesy to return the favor. Heimdall chuckles at my action.

His smile soons fades away. He looks away from me and at the ground. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop him. I tried to resist, but-"

I set my hand on his shoulder. "I understand, Heimdall. Besides you've already done so much for me and I am eternally grateful. Please, do not be so hard on yourself", I requested.

He bowed once more. "Of course". Looking back up he turns to Bucky.

"So you are the one who has stolen Lady Sigyn's heart", he asked. I laughed.

Bucky simply nodded. He always has such a stoic expression around new people. He used to be like that around me.

"Thank you, James", Heimdall bowed to him.

"For what?", Bucky asked.

"For saving Lady Sigyn and giving her the life she deserves"

Bucky looked at me and smiled. "If anything she saved me". I look up at him and smile.

"Loki is waiting for you in the throne room...", Heimdall spoke.

I let out a shaky breath. "Okay...ready?", I asked Bucky.

Giving my hand a reassuring squeeze he nods.

Slowly we started our descend to the castle. As we walked down the Bifrost Bucky was looking at every possible thing he could. He was so fascinated by Asgard. Even though he would never admit it he was a complete nerd for things like this.

Once we reached the town everyone began to notice our presences. Some froze completely and just stared at us while others ran to their friends to gossip. I could easily hear them all even though they were whispering.

"Lady Sigyn is back"
"Do you think she is finally here to marry, Loki?"
"The nerve of her to come back here with another man on her arm"

Bucky grunted at their words. "Don't mind them", I whispered. Bucky looked at me, but I kept looking forward. "I've had to deal with this my whole life. Just keep looking straight...", I gently direct his face forward. "...and don't make eye contact. You can't let them think they're getting to you"

"Why?", he asked.

"Because a peasants words have no meaning to us Gods. At least that's what my father told me", I smiled. "You must never show emotions for emotions are a sign of weakness", I said in a deep voice as I mocked my father. "Such stupid
words from such a stupid man"

"Where is your father?", Bucky asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't know. I'm assuming he disowned me after learning that I ran away"

"Y/n-"

I stop in my tracks. We finally reached the castle. "We're here", I said.

Bucky's head bent back as he looked up to the very top of the castle.

Two guards walked up to us. "Lady Sigyn", one said as they both bowed. "Sire Loki has asked us to escort you to the throne room. Please, follow us", they both spun on their heels and walked back up the steps. Bucky and I followed behind.

Walking down the corridors memories came flooding back. It took everything in me not to run out. Never in a millions years did I think i'd be back here.

As we got closer to the throne room my heart raced faster and faster. My breathing became short and I started to shake nervously.

Bucky noticing gently rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand. Suddenly my fear washed away. I could breath again and I was no longer shaking. Knowing that he was there next to me was enough for me to keep going.

The guards stopped in front of a massive double door. Bucky and I stood still, waiting to see what they were going to do. Both walked up to the doors. Each pushing one side of it. I walked forward pulling Bucky. The first thing we saw was Loki sitting on the throne.

"You came", Loki said as he clapped his hands together. "And you brought a guest", he smirked.
