"What is this?"

Alexis turn to face Joseph as they went through her stuff. She planned on moving in to his place after the wedding. They ended up being too busy to do it beforehand; having waited too long. She looked up to see him thumbing through the book Chris had given her for Christmas, "it's nothing Joseph."

He thumbed to the end of the books where Chris's note was, "really doesn't look like nothing Lexi."

She groaned, grabbing the book from him, "he gave it to me for Christmas. But it doesn't matter Joey. I'm standing here, moving into your house. I'm wearing your ring. I'm marrying you tomorrow. I made my choice." She tossed the book into a box and wrapped her arms around him, "I love you."

He nodded, still a little jealous, "okay. I know. I'm sorry. Tomorrow you'll be my wife and you'll be mine always."

She laughed and nodded as he smiled, "yes. But you have to go. I have to get ready for later. And we agreed not to sleep together tonight."

He groaned, but nodded, "does that include sex? Because I could be real quick."

She laughed, "so romantic. And yes, it includes sex. Get out of here."

He sighed, "fine. I love you too."

"So are you going to stay with me tonight?"

Alexis looked up at Erin as she saw Chris enter the restaurant out of the corner of her eye. "I think I'm going to stay alone in the apartment tonight. Last night I'll be completely alone."

She nodded, looking over at Chris and back at her sister, "and you're sure that you've made the right choice?"

"Of course I am Erin. Chris doesn't even know me. We don't know each other. It was just a lust, crush thing. That's it. I love Joey."

Erin sighed, nodding again, "ok. If you say so."

She looked up at Chris as he approached, "hey. Thanks for coming."

He nodded, "well I just wanted you to know that I am not coming tomorrow."

She watched him look at the ground as she rested her hand on his arm, "Chris." She saw him shake his head, still looking at the ground. Finally he looked up and she could see his eyes wet with tears.

"Will come see me later? Say goodbye."

She shook her head, removing her hand, "I don't know if that's a good idea Chris. Last time I almost gave in to you. In fact I might have if your phone hadn't had rung." She hadn't seen him or stepped foot into his house for months, since she almost slept with him.

He nodded, "I know. But I miss you. And soon I'll never get to see you. Just promise me you'll think about it?"

She sighed, nodding, "okay. I'll think about it."

After dinner, Joseph came up to Chris as he sighed, "Joey."

He shook his head, "Chris. What are you doing here?"

Chris shrugged, annoyed, "what do you mean? I was invited. We're still friends."

Joseph crossed his arms, "we aren't. Not after I found the book with you professing your love for my soon to be wife."

He groaned, "I gave that to her before you proposed. And look," He motioned around us, "she still chose you. So there's no need to make a big deal out of it anyways."

He dropped his arms, "that doesn't matter. The point is that you were trying to undermine my relationship every step of the way. All while being my so called friend." He put up his hands to make air quotes at the word friend, seeing Chris roll his eyes. "I don't want you there tomorrow."

Chris shook his head, "why? Are you worried she'll come to her senses and choose me over you?" He saw Joseph about to say something but he put up his hand, "don't worry. I have no intention of going tomorrow and seeing my Lexi making the biggest mistake she'll ever make." He didn't have time to think as he felt Joey's hand making contact with his jaw, making him stumble backwards.

"Chris!" Alexis walked in between the men before Chris could retaliate. She placed her hand on his cheek, "are you okay?"

"Sure. Check on your precious Chris."

She heard Joseph scoff behind her, making her turn around, "well he was the one that was punched, not you." She turned back to Chris but he brushed her away.

"I'm fine! Leave me alone Lex."

She watched him leave the restaurant as she turned back to Joseph, "what did you do?"

He shrugged, "I told him not to come tomorrow."

"He already told me he wasn't anyways."

He scoffed, "when? You guys talk too much. You're supposed to be mine."

She shook her head, "right now I don't feel like being anyones. And this was only our second conversation since Christmas." She started to walk away but felt him grab her arm a little too hard, "ow!"

He let go as he saw Robert coming up to them, "we're fine." He turned back to Alexis, "when else did you talk to him?"

"I went to see him after we got home from Sweden. I wanted him to know we were engaged from me and not from someone else. He deserved that much."

Joseph scoffed again, "he deserves nothing."

She sighed, "go home and sober up before I decide not to come tomorrow either."

Joseph nodded, "okay. I'm sorry Lexi."

Chris was sitting in the living room with an ice pack on his face when he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door, groaning, "you shouldn't be here."

Alexis shrugged, "I wanted to check on you Chris." She removed her coat, putting it on the hook before following him into the living room, "are you okay?"

He nodded, "you mean besides the woman I'm in love with getting married tomorrow and her marrying one of my oldest friends that is no longer my friend and punched me to claim his territory over said woman? I'm peaches Lex. You should go."

She laughed, "I like when you call me Lex."

He smiled, looking at her, "I know you do. I noticed you've never corrected me." He sighed, still looking at her, "what are you doing here Lex?"

"Can I stay the night here? I'm afraid after tomorrow I won't be able to see you anymore."

He shook his head, "that's not a good idea love and you know it." He watched her nod as tears began to fall and she stood up. He groaned, standing up and pulled her to him as he felt her bury her head in his chest, "it isn't too late."

"It is. I'm marrying Joey tomorrow Chris."

He sighed, "then stay the night. Sleep with me. Just sleep."

She nodded, looking up at him, "okay."
