Chapter 15

Alexis stood in front of the closed doors that would open to the aisle.

Robert pulled her to face him, "okay. I've given you a chance. Don't do this."

"What? What do you mean?" She watched her brother in law shaking his head.

"You're in love with Chris. I know he's outside. I saw him. Go."

She shook her head as she began to cry again, "what about Joey? And everyone else."

Robert shook his head, "I will take care of all that. Just go."

She hesitated for a moment, looking down at the engagement ring on her finger. She took it off, placing it in his hand before dragging him back to the room, "I need you to unzip me." She turned away from him.

"You're sure?"

"Yes!"

"Don't yell at me." He laughed as he unzipped her dress. "I love you Alexis. Now go."

She heard him leave the room, shutting the door behind him as she quickly got undressed, leaving the dress on the floor as she put her jeans and t-shirt back on. She grabbed her purse, leaving out the door Chris entered to find him standing against his black SUV. She ran to him, feeling him lift her to him as he kissed her before ushering her into his car.

He climbed into the driver seat, looking at her and her purse. "Do you have your passport?"

"No. It's in my apartment."

He started to drive. "I need you to grab your passport, ID, phone and charger. You don't need anything else. We can get anything else we need when we get there."

She laughed, "when we get where Chris."

He smiled, looking at her, "wherever you want love."

She shook my head as he pulled up next to her apartment complex. She ran inside, grabbing her stuff, stopping at the book he gave her. She shoved it all into her purse with her passport and wallet before climbing back into the car, "you're insane."

He laughed as he continued to drive. "You really want to stick around after running out on your own wedding?"

She groaned, "not really."

He nodded, "good. We'll leave and let it blow over for a bit. I don't care where we go. As long as I'm with you."

She looked at him as he grabbed her hand, bringing it to his lips. "I love you Chris."

He smiled, "I love you too."

They stood in the airport as Chriswatched Alexis.

"Choose a place love and I will call my assistant to set us up with lodging while we're on the plane."

She looked at him, "anywhere?"

He nodded, grabbing her hand, "anywhere."

She smiled, "Italy?"

"Perfect."

She laughed, watching him type away on his phone as she pulled out hers to so many messages and missed calls from Joey as well as from Scott and Erin. She groaned, looking at it as she felt Chris come up to her, taking her phone.

"Don't look at it." He put her phone in his pocket before grabbing her hand again, "come on love."

Alexis held Chris's hand as he led them to a small private cottage on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, "how did you find someplace so quickly?"

He laughed, "one good thing about having money love. Along with having someone else plan it all for you. Come on." He led her inside to the small cottage. It was perfect with a small kitchen and living area and balcony. They went upstairs to a giant bedroom suite with a bedroom and giant bathroom.

She looked down at the clothes she had been wearing for more than half a day already. "I don't have any clothes and I need a shower."

He laughed, nodding. "So let's go shopping love. And then we can come back here and not wear any clothes."

She laughed, following him, "yes please."

He took them to a small clothing shop, "shop. Get what you want. I want to see a lot of sundresses and bikinis."

She laughed, nodding. "Where are you going?"

"I'll be right back. Gonna get necessities; new tooth brushes, shampoo, et cetera." He handed her a card, "I'll be back."

She nodded, taking the card, seeing the sales lady smiling at them. "Okay." By the time he came back with another bag she had picked out a bunch of dresses along with a few pairs of shorts and shirts, a couple bikinis and undergarments and some beige sandals that went with everything. They left and got him clothes and new luggage for them both before buying food for the cottage. By the time they got back to the cottage, she collapsed on the bed. "I'm tired."

He laughed, "I know. But I thought you wanted to shower." He went into the bathroom, turning on the water in the tub before coming back to her. He held out his hand as he helped her to stand and they got undressed. They washed their hair in the shower before he helped her into the tub. He sat across from her, "how's this?"

She sighed, resting her head back, "this is amazing Chris."

He leaned forward, grabbing her waist, "come here." He heard her moan softly before letting him pull her onto his lap, her legs wrapped around him as he lowered her onto him.

She clung to him as he held firmly to her waist, keeping the movements slow as he guided her on him. She whimpered, kissing his shoulder and up his neck until she found his lips.

He brought a hand to the nape of her neck as she started to move more urgently against him, making him moan. He felt her tongue teasing his lips before it found his. It wasn't long before he knew she was close and he couldn't hold back either. He knew she was tired as he held firmly onto her, riding out the wave of her orgasm as she threw her head back and he assaulted her neck with kisses as he followed shortly after.

She moaned, still clinging to him as she kissed him once more as she felt him holding onto her, "I love you."

He nodded, moving her off him, "I love you Lex. Come on." He stood up, getting out of the tub to wrap a towel around him before grabbing one for her. He held out his hand, helping her out before wrapping the towel around her, "let's sleep."

She nodded, following him to the bedroom. She watched him finish drying off before climbing into bed naked. She moaned softly before doing the same, resting her head on his chest as she felt him pull her tightly to him.
