Woken up by a gentle breeze was the perfect scenario, not a single soul disturbing her. The sound of the rustling leaves along with the birds chirping got the whole mood calm and relaxing. It was a remarkable moment that got disturbed by a foreign feeling on her stomach.
(Y/n) looked down, remembering that Rick was still there. They slept through the whole night without any disturbance, which was weird. However, (Y/n) slept comfortably with Rick, knowing for a fact that she can trust him.
Allowing him to rest a little more only got the lady impatient. Sleeping the whole day against a tree tired her out, so she decided to give Rick a specific amount of time. She would shuffle a little bit every now and then, trying to get herself comfortable.
A little snicker was heard from Rick's direction, grabbing (Y/n)'s direction.
"Despite being uncomfortable, you stayed still for me to rest. Is that you telling me that you like me?" Rick looked up at her with his pretty blue eyes, his tired voice seductively teasing her.
"Shut up, go to your wife." (Y/n) pushed his face away playfully, as the guy pretended to continuously roll away from her 'strength'. That put a smile on her face, still seeing a childish side from him.
Rick low-key was disappointed that she didn't fall for him, but that only meant she is loyal and faithful. After all, if he 'cheated' on Lori with (Y/n), that meant that (Y/n) doesn't care about her loved one's feelings. That also meant if they got together, she'll easily cheat on him. However, (Y/n) didn't look like she was trying to be with him.
A sigh left his mouth, as a shadow hovered over him. (Y/n) had her hand out for him to hold onto, and there it was, the most beautiful smile he witnessed. It was hard not to fall for her, especially when she is beautiful, intelligent, and kind.
It caused his heart to ache, knowing she's not his. However, all he can do now is keep the other guys away and be grateful that he has her in his life.
"Thank you." Rick grabbed onto her hand, standing up with her assistance. (Y/n) proceeded to walk in front of him, heading back to the camp and the others. Rick slowly walked a couple of steps behind, still admiring every aspect of her.
He fell for her... and there was no escape. Even though he tried before to let go, it only made him realize he's chained to her. Who can't fall for someone who always has an eye out on them?
Rick rubbed his temples, falling into deep thoughts. "For fucks sake... I'm obsessed." He muttered, finally catching up to her.
As soon as they reached there, eyes instantly fell on them. Everyone was silent, eyes filled with curiosity and envy.
"My back hurts..." (Y/n) mumbled, kneeling next to Daryl who was sitting on a log to check on him. It has been a while since they spent time with each other.
Daryl didn't hesitate to share his food with her, pushing his plate towards her. "Eat, you barely ate anything." His voice was calmer than usual, and he didn't even face her. It got her questioning if she did something wrong.
"Are you mad at me? Did I disturb you somehow?" (Y/n) kept staring at him, which resulted in them having a millisecond of eye contact before his eyes fell on Rick.
Daryl wasn't the type to show his jealousy, unlike Shane, who was so close to exploding. "You didn't, I was just thinking about something." He didn't want her to feel ignored, so he did end up speaking with her.
(Y/n) ate with him, until they were disturbed by Glenn, who tried to get their attention. His eyes were staring far in the distance, as (Y/n) followed his gaze. They were stuck to Maggie, but both of them seemed to be nervous.
