Hours passed with (Y/n) being Maggie's captive. Held in a warm room wasn't something (Y/n) was complaining about, rather it was safe and comfortable. It didn't take her long before she dozed off with Maggie reading on her side.
Beth had a puzzle game on her lap, waiting for the lady to wake up. For once, she wants things to feel normal. The silence was pleasant, as it didn't bother any of them. Briefly, this calm ended. A knock was heard on the door, resulting in Beth immediately scrambling off the floor to unlock the entrance.
"Shhh! Papa... (Y/n) is asleep." Beth mumbled, earning a little frown from the old man. It seemed as if he wanted to discuss something with (Y/n), but he knew well she needed to rest. Maggie soon stood next to Beth, looking at her father and then at the large piece of paper he was holding.
Raising an eyebrow, she awaited an explanation from her father about what this may be. Hershel motioned for her to come outside, but pointed at Beth to stay in this room.
Both women listened to what he said, as Maggie followed Hershel closely to the kitchen table, where everyone gathered. Her eyes fell onto Shane, who seemed to be freshly wounded. Daryl was standing away for a reason with Glenn between them. A fight must've occurred while she was with (Y/n).
"What's all this about?" Maggie's eyes reverted to the paper Hershel gripped onto. The old man carefully unfolded the paper, getting everyone to gather around closer.
"It's a map I found on the poor boy you slaughtered." Hershel looked at Shane, who didn't avert his gaze once it was met with the old man's.
"You would do the same if someone dear to you was in danger. Would you stand there and wait for a murderer to shoot your wife or daughter?" Shane crossed his arms, changing his attention to Maggie.
"It's not like I'd like anything to happen to her. If anything, she's a huge help with keeping (Y/n) safe." Shane nodded in approval, but Maggie didn't even look his way. The lady got bad vibes from him, and he's the last person she ever wants to talk to.
"So..." Maggie gave Shane the cold shoulder, moving closer to the map to trace the red circle drawn. "This is their base? It isn't that far, yet I don't think we can make it in less than three hours."
"Exactly why we should stay alert. They may somehow stumble across the farm, and that will result in a huge fight, lots of bloodsheds." Rick didn't like the situation they were in. A pregnant lady, his child, and a couple of women who don't know how to fight to live here.
"We should increase night shifts to two people at a time," Daryl suggested, already cleaning his arrows for later on.
"I agree as well. The more, the merrier." A voice came from behind, causing everyone to turn around. A sigh left Maggie's mouth, not believing that (Y/n) heard them. How light is her sleep?
"Did you check the back? People tend to write important messages." (Y/n) went next to Lori, taking a good look at the map.
"O-Oh! Right." Glenn was the one to flip the paper over, and as expected, there was a lot written.
- Food and water for thirty people.
- Find Ammo for heavy weapons.
- Eliminate any living sign of humans, spare women, and bring them back.Reading that, the mood got dark fast. At least now they know how many they're up against if something ever happened.
"We're all gonna die. Heavily armed? 30 people?" Glenn laughed nervously, knowing that things might get serious. Lori took Carl to Beth, not wanting him to be listening to inappropriate stuff for his age.
"Not if we spot them first- it's not like we're sure that they know about the farm... right?" Maggie asked, not earning any reply from them.
"I don't think they'll find it, don't worry." (Y/n) had to reassure Maggie, even if she wasn't sure about the situation.
