"Go go go!!!" Rick told the others as he was about to go to (Y/n) to carry her, but Shane reached her before he did. Shane held her in his arms protectively, dashing towards the gate that was open.
"Shane... I can walk... I promise I'm fine." (Y/n) mumbled as Shane stared at her then got really protective like an alpha protecting his mate. "What are you people doing here."
A voice said near the stairs as everyone looked in that direction. (Y/n) peeked at the guy, who was holding a gun in their direction. (Y/n) gently moved out of Shane's grip, who he quickly pulled her back and glared at her.
"(Y/n)... stay here." "No Shane... I need to talk to him and make sure that he allows us to stay here." (Y/n) looked up at him with a serious look as she gently pushed him back, taking a step in front of everyone.
"Hello... we're not here to harm you or anyone else if there are people. I promise." (Y/n) raised her arms to show that she wasn't planning on doing anything stupid. The guy stared at her as Daryl and Rick glared at him, making sure to not do anything that will harm her.
"We want a chance... we'll do anything as long as you let us stay here... please. We don't have much time before the walkers come to us and devour us." (Y/n) pleaded, feeling a hand pull her a little back.
It was Carol, her eyes held worry. It was probably that Carol was worried about (Y/n)'s own safety. Meanwhile, Sophia looked up at (Y/n) with tears, scared that the man will shoot them.
The sound of someone clicking their tongue in annoyance was heard. (Y/n) looked at the guy as he motioned for them to come inside. A small smile made its way to (Y/n)'s face as she let everyone get in before her, then went to the guy.
"Thank you so much for giving us a chance. I appreciate it so much and I'll owe you my life forever." (Y/n) stood in front of the guy, who just finished telling the system to close the gates.
"I'm (Y/n) (L/n), nice too meet you Mister...?" (Y/n) extended her hand out, seeing that he was a bit hesitant but ended up shaking her hand. "Dr. Edwin Jenner. The only way I'll let you stay here is by submitting some of your blood. All of you. I want to run some tests." Edwin looked at them as (Y/n) nodded, going to Glenn who smiled at her.
"Thank you for saving us and taking care of things. If it wasn't for you, things wouldn't have gone smoothly." Glenn praised her as (Y/n) shivered a little, which Glenn noticed.
They entered the elevator as everyone was standing calmly until Rick broke the silence. "Don't tell me that you're still scared of needles (Y/n). From the look of your face when he mentioned something about taking some blood, it seemed like you have seen a ghost." Rick teased her as (Y/n) blushed and puffed her cheeks in embarrassment when she heard everyone laughing.
"Hey! It's some sort of phobia that I have! Stab me, but never show me a needle." (Y/n) shivered at the thought of needles as she heard Carl laugh a little, "Mommy! I'm not scared of needles, I'm a strong boy!" He told (Y/n), showing off in front of Sophia who was giggling.
(Y/n)'s mouth fell slightly agape as she smirked and nudged Rick, wanting him to focus on his son's reaction after what she'll say. "Trying to impress your little girlfriend huh?" (Y/n) teased, as everyone laughed/chuckled, including the Doctor. Carl's cheeks and ears turned red as he tried to deny it. Meanwhile, Sophia hid her face in her mother's shirt, making (Y/n) let out a squeal.
"Okay, we reached the underground. Is anyone claustrophobic here." Edwin asked, as (Y/n) looked at them, eyeing Carol playfully who seemed to be scared.
"Okay okay... I'll admit that I'm a little claustrophobic. Just a little." Carol smiled at (Y/n) as the (h/c) haired girl giggled and looked behind her. She saw that Daryl was a bit out of the group as she slowed down, waiting for the Daryl to catch up as he looked a little confused.
