AMELIA'S POV
I walk into the attendings lounge and see Y/n sitting next to my brother with her head on his shoulder, I unconsciously clench my fists and can't help but start feeling jealous
Why am I even jealous? Derek is freaking married
I clear my throat and the two of them look at me
"Hey Amy"
"Hi...what's going on here?" I ask
"Nothing. Y/n here is just tired"
Derek walks towards me and wraps an arm around my neck
"Why don't you take her home?" he says
I blush and look at Y/n, we make eye contact and she quickly looks down, I look at my brother and he smirks
"Give me ten minutes to change and then I can give you a ride home" I say
"Amelia, there's no nee-"
"Y/n, you're tired and you shouldn't drive, let Amy take you home"
Y/N'S POV
Derek quickly leaves and I let out a groan
I'm gonna kill that man
I get up from the couch and change into my regular clothes, I take out my phone and check the unread messages while I wait for Amelia
"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go"
We leave the hospital and go towards her car, she drives me home and walks me to the door
"Thank you for the ride" I say
"No problem"
We lock eyes and the brunette smiles
Without thinking, I wrap my arms around Amelia's neck and place my lips on hers. She places her hands on my hips and brings my body closer to hers
"I need you" she says
I quickly open the door and lead her inside, she pushes me against the wall and starts sucking on my neck
"Fuck- Amelia" I let out a moan
I move my head to the side to give her more space and place one hand on the back of her head
"Bedroom" I manage to say in between moans
The brunette places her hands on the back of my thighs and I quickly wrap my legs around her waist

I slowly open my eyes and smile when I see Amelia's face, I try getting up but she tightens her grip on my waist and I let out a small giggle
"Good morning baby"
I blush at the nickname and hide my face in the crook of the brunette's neck
"Sorry for waking you up"
"It's fine" she kisses me on the forehead
Ten minutes later we decide to get up and we go in the kitchen to make breakfast
"I have eggs and bacon...how does that sound?" I ask
"Sounds great, want me to make some toasts?"
I nod and grab a pan, I start cooking the eggs and bacon while Amelia cuts the bread and puts two pieces in the toaster. When breakfast is ready, we sit at the table and start eating
The brunette in front of me grabs my free hand and kisses the back of it before interlocking our fingers, my heart starts beating faster and I blush
We finish eating breakfast and I wash the plates
"I'm gonna go home and get changed, I'll come pick you up in thirty minutes" the neurosurgeon says
She kisses me on the cheek and leaves, I blush and go get changed, when I'm done I grab my phone and see Amelia's text
A: I'm outside
I grab my purse, lock the front door and get inside the car. The brunette drives to the hospital and while we're at a red light she places her hand on my thigh
"Amelia"
"Yeah?"
"I need to tell you something" I say
"What is it?"
Before I can tell her, my phone starts ringing and I answer it. We reach the hospital by the time I hang up
"So...what did you want to tell me?"
"Hmm...can we talk about that later? I just remembered that I have a surgery and I'm late..." I say
"Sure"
I quickly get out of the car and run towards the entrance of the hospital

I lay down on the bed and let out a sigh, I close my eyes and try to relax, I let out a groan when I hear the door open and re-open my eyes
"Sorry...did I wake you up?"
"No, don't worry. I got here just two minutes ago"
"Long day?"
"Yeah"
I turn my body towards the wall and close my eyes, a few seconds later I feel an arm around my waist and my back presses against Amelia's front, she kisses the back of my head and I take a deep breath
It's now or never
"I want more" I whisper
"What did you say?"
I turn my body so that I can face the neurosurgeon and place my hand on her cheek
"I know we both said no strings attached but I-"
A tear slides down my cheek and I bite my lip
"I'm falling for you"
I close my eyes as more tears slide down my cheeks, a few seconds later Amelia cups my cheek and starts wiping away my tears with her thumb
"Open your eyes" she whispers
I do as told and our gazes meet, the on-call room is completely dark and the only thing I can see are Amelia's beautiful blue eyes
A blue so deep you could drown in it
Before she can say something, I place my lips on hers. A few seconds later I pull away and look at her
"I will be ready to catch you" she whispers
My heart starts beating faster and a big smile makes its way to my face, I cup the brunette's cheek and kiss her again, I pull away when I run out of breath and smile again
"You're so cute"
The woman kisses me on the forehead and holds me against her, we start cuddling and at some point I let out a yawn
"Get some sleep baby"
"I like it when you call me that" I say
Amelia giggles and brushes her nose against mine
"Sleep"
I nod and close my eyes, instantly falling asleep
