When the time came for us to look around the first floor of the building, we weren't expecting the staffrooms, Headmistress' office and library blah blah....things like those.

Competetives muttered in complain in order to skip this boring story of the building. Above this one had some other official working places but there was no one around unlike this busy one.

"This is for, in case you have to visit the Headmistress' office," Mr. Mark said, stifling a cackle, "Okay. This is headmistress's office and you will not be sent inside like the other rooms."

"Obviously." Amber said in a 'duh' tone. I nudged her to move forward as she had a habit of braking between the paths. The queue started moving without showing any eagerness.

I was just about to cross the closed opaque door of the office of headmistress when I heard some catchy words,

"The girl could've touched some pod on the way or her leg must have kicked it, what do you think officer?"

"There was no pod there at that time. We don't have to keep them nowadays and whereas every pod is kept with your permission only."

They are the same two people whom I encountered the very moment I opened my eyes today morning. Andrea Fillips and Officer Townsville.

I knew it was very wrong to eavesdrop on their conversation but my mind said that they were talking about me. Jeremy kept whispering to me, "Margaret? What are you doing?" But that was deaf on my ears.

Then Andrea Fillips said inside her office, unaware of me listening to her, "What about the CCTV camera?"

"It was fused at that time," there was a pause, "No; no....it was a technical error it was not done purposely."

"We may check the one on the fourth floor if-" Andrea was cut off by the officer.

"Mrs. Fillips! Did you switch on the sound proof system of the room?"

"Oh no! I am really sorry; I will do it right away." That was the last thing I heard from there. The sound proof system must have started its action.

Suddenly my other senses came to life and I got the light tapping of Jeremy's hand on my shoulder. I whirled around and saw that all the pair of eyes in the hallway was on me.

"Miss Stone may I know what you were doing?" Mr. Mark sternly asked and others had various expressions on their faces. Some were just suppressing their smiles, some were giving me smirks and some were gesturing at me to excuse myself.

"Ah...ah...." Amber had her back facing him and was looking at me. Her face read 'Tell some stupid excuse and get out of trouble'.

"Sir....my hair was falling down." I said in a go. The ones who were trying not to laugh also loudly broke into laughter. Then I realized what I have blurted.

I mentally face palmed myself and thought of covering up for my stupidity. "Do you wear a wig, girl?" Someone shouted among the crowd.

Amber was helpful but not much. "She meant that, her hair clip fell down!" Amber exclaimed and jammed her pockets and fished out a hair clip, "Look, a hair clip!"

The crowd took a look at it and again continued to laugh uproariously. It was a very girly clip, which I think not even 5 year olds would prefer to wear.
