That means he was the same person who I encountered at that shop, 'Poletode'. He took the jacket that I wanted. Black with a silvery outline and a style of it's own.
That person in the shop had a golden subtle, that was the only feauture of his that I was able to see. His face hid in the grey hood of his jacket. And the second year competitive who stood with his back towards me had blond hair.
Sure enough that they both where the same person. But the jacket stocked the superlative section of the shop. How did he buy it?
Ya, even I had the same wish of buying it but it was obvious that the salesgirl won't have allowed me to get it. She was not even letting me to go inside that section.
But this guy got it.
How? Were second year competitives almost had the same level of superlatives? I guess.... yeah. Because then he would'nt be wearing the jacket then.
But why did I have the urge to know more about this? Nevertheless the topic wasn't gonna take me anywhere, just more confusion and negotiation.
I chose to drop the topic.
"Margaret?" Someone called or was it just my inner voice. "Margaret?" It repeated and also touched me. Softly on my shoulder, brought my senses.Wait. How can a sound touch someone?
Then it hit like a cold wind in winters, it was no sound, it was a person. And that very one was Jeremy. I turned on my heels and almost bumped into him. "Uh...sorry. I just zoned out," I said with a guilty face.
"We are the last ones here. Let's get going." He replied. On instant my eyes searched for that blondie but he was nowhere. I gave Jeremy a curt nod and left the gym.
The canteen was the same as yesterday but the smell of food differed. It was new for me, never came in my contact, but it smelled delicious.
All the competitives assembled in a line for the buffet set. Yesterday it was just us but today there were the second-year competitives too.
Again unknownly I hunted for the blondie and this time I found him. He was seated on a table with his friends maybe but seemed out of place, as if he didn't belong here.
He had blue eyes and thin face with fair skin which looked soft. Golden stuble that lined his chin were no different from that day in the shop. Probably he was American, but I could not say.
I don't know for how long but practically my eyes were glued to him. Enough for my best friends to acknowlege. Wait. Did I call them best friends? In just three days?
"You are drooling you know," Amber's words tickled my ears. I blinked my eyes and gave her a puzzled face. She smirked with so much smug-ness that I had to look away to keep me safe.
"Good choice though. That guy is cool," She paused, "Hey! Actually you two will make a good couple." She squeaked. I rolled my eyes at her and groaned Jeremy.
"Be sensible Amber," I muttered.
Her lips turned into a frown, "I was just trying to cheer you up. Okay, if you want me to leave you alone to dwell up on the fantastic day of yours, I am fine with it." Her last two words were full of gruff.
