"Why do I think that we are being followed?" The commander whispered.

They spun on their wheel and I jumped behind a rectangular box that was kept in the corridor and almost made a creak. I didn't know what that box was and I had no curiosity to know, I was just very lucky to have it in the right place. I was there to know something else.

"Look there is no one. Why do you always keep suspecting?" Headmistress Fillips said irritated.

"Ya, okay, let's go." The commander said and they both again started their way towards a door next to headmistress' office. What were they doing here? If Amber would have been in my place she would've thought something like, the commander and headmistress were having an affair and they are sneaking out to some place to spend time.

But I was certain that here there was nothing cheeky but something serious. Without waiting for any more time they started towards the door which was only a few steps away. They reached the door and it opened when the headmistress entered something on the screen on the right side. I was able to see them from behind that box and I chose to be here until they entered the room or whatever that lied behind.

They marched inside but the door didn't close immediately. That was my chance to follow them and learn what they were up to and what they were talking about. Surely this was no occasional meeting because headmistress talked to the security less often, in fact only when someone tried to break in the campus. I came to know that through eavesdropping on the gossip among the cafeteria staff.

I was about to launch myself at the door and enter the room when some tapped on my shoulder from behind. I sprang up from my semi sitting position and saw who it was. It was the great great Mr. Ashton! Who spoiled my plan to collect more knowledge about the security system.
Note the sarcasm.

He crossed his hands on his chest and asked,"May I know what are you doing here Margaret?" I pushed back a gasp but it eventually escaped my mouth. He had a calm expression so it was clear he wasn't angry. "I hope you know the extra practice sessions have started and you didn't come,"

Yes, to spy on the commander and headmistress I was bunking my extra practice sessions. I risked it besides knowing the fact that Mr. Mark despises anyone who isn't present for his class without any application.

"Ya, I am so sorry. Let's go," I walked pass him towards the elevator but he blocked me by his hand.

"No, let me know what was so secretive that you had to hide behind this pod?" I avoided to look at his face. I tapped my left foot to purchase some time to excuse myself and well to distract him.

"Nothing, really. It is nothing going on in here. You wanna know nothing?"I kept my tone as plain as possible but I knew I terribly failed in it. Ashton looked at me for a second and then barked out a laugh. I felt so embarrassed at the moment but I tried to distract myself through his laughter.
