While walking over to the creek, the two sisters were sounding with laughter as they shoved one another and joked with juvenility. Once we had made it over to the creek, I sat down against a tree, Natasha and Yelena heading into the water immediately.

"Y/N," Natasha called from the water, "Wait I can call you that right?"

"Mmhm, yeah sure," I nodded, not moving my eyes from the section I was reading about Tulips.

"Are you planning on coming over here? The whole reason we brought you was to enjoy yourself, not read your day away. If that's what the plan was, you should have stayed home."

"Ostav' yeye odnu, Nat," Yelena said quietly to her sister, the two talking quietly to one another as Natasha gestured towards me. Shaking her head, Natasha directed her attention to me rather than her sister, "Come on, Y/N we're way more interesting than that book," she joked.

"Don't flatter yourself," I responded, not looking up from my book until I realized the two had gone silent, as well as realizing what I had just said to my hosts! "Oh my goodness," I closed my book, looking up to the sisters who were eyeing one another in surprise, "I'm so sorry! I have no idea where that came from, I'm so sorry," I said while standing up.

"Don't worry," Yelena shook her head, Natasha beginning to chuckle before moving into a swim through the deeper side of the creek. "It was quite funny actually," Yelena shrugged.

"Learning a lot about you, Y/N," Natasha said in a sing-song tone, smirking at me as I neared the water, not coming into it quite yet. "You're not as quiet and timid as you seem," she finished before diving into the water disappearing for a few seconds, coming back up to the surface after those moments. "Now, you gonna swim?"

I contemplated the question for a second, unsure if I truly wanted to go into the water, but considering the swimming was the whole reason for me being brought to the creek, I figured it would only be polite to at least try to.

I went back to the tree, taking off the trousers and shirt, though my swimsuit, like Natasha and Yelena's, covered my torso and upper thighs, I still felt vulnerable. Embarrassed to show my legs, the lower of my thighs no less, I could not imagine what Mother would even think of it. I was allowed to wear swimsuits when we would make trips to the beach and such, but those covered my body all the way down to my upper knee, not stopping at many inches above it.

I crossed my arms over my stomach in a protective way, as though it would guard my already covered stomach. Hunching over slightly to make my thighs appear less visible though the difference was minuscule. I pulled at the hem of the fabric above my thighs, pulling it down to cover my skin as I took a few steps closer to the water. As my toe touched the water I shook my head, apologizing as I went back to the tree to sit down.

"Oh come on," Natasha started as she swam in place, "The water isn't gonna bite you! There's nothing in here if that's what you're worried about."

"No, it's not that," I shook my head.
