A few days after my return home from Melina's house, my mother as well as Melina thought it a good idea for us daughters, other than my sister, to finally do our dress shopping for the wedding. While it took me the entirety of the morning to find a dress (credit to my mother and her indecisiveness), Yelena and Natasha actually hadn't joined us until later on in the morning.

They had to make an impromptu trip to a town nearby with their father. I'm unsure what the reason was but I thought it was none of my concern. Deciding to not think any more about it. Once the girls had arrived, it didn't take either of them nearly as long as me to find their dresses.

After browsing and shopping, Melina had suggested tea as there was something she wanted to discuss with my mother.

"You looked beautiful today," Yelena said quietly as she fell behind the group with me. Walking slowly on the sidewalk as we made our way to a nearby cafe of sorts.

"Huh?" I shook my head.

"In the shop," she tilted her head, gesturing behind us though the shop was well behind us now.

"You didn't even see the dress," I laughed.

"I don't need to, you always look beautiful," she said unfazed by her words.

I looked ahead of us, at the backs of our group, finding it hard to believe that Yelena could be so blunt, so open all the time. Though the thought occurred to me that she behaves in such a way simply because there is nothing wrong with her behavior, it's just her being friendly.

Yelena turned her attention to the group in front of us as well, chuckling as she held her hands behind her back, "You're doing it again," she said in her low, and mildly husky Russian accent.

Though I shouldn't have, I spoke back to her, finding it hard to hide my honesty as this was a situation she consistently--deliberately put me in. "Well, you're the one who makes it hard not to."

The blonde didn't say anything, she just looked at me in amusement, nodding her head as we followed behind the group.

As it had turned out there was a trip planned by Melina, it being for the purpose of her and her daughters having a short trip out of town to a theater. The problem was that Melina had a sudden task that required her appearance somewhere else with Alexei and therefore there was an extra ticket. One which Melina offered to my mother, for me.

"Oh I'm not entirely sure," my mother shook her head as we all sat around a table outside of a small shop. "Seems like a bit of an intrusion. Y/N shouldn't be taking that ticket especially when you paid for it with the intention of it being you on the trip."

"But I won't be on the trip," Melina said. "And my girls are fond of Y/N, the pair of them appear to have taken quite a liking to her, I'm sure they wouldn't mind her presence being in place of my own," Melina explained.
