12. Not easy to come

The whole day at school has passed without any issue. No sign of Erden except some dramatic talks which I heard about him, mainly about the fact that he is a sex-on-stick creature.

Well, now I have my last two periods of literature before I finish today. Glad, I will then be able to relax by going to the ice cream parlor with Thomas, who has biology at this hour.

Guess what? I'm in the same class as my dear step-sister. Fortunately, she is a dud in literature compared to me. Madam Elena is our literature teacher, a gangling brunet with thin glasses. She does not just look like a pest, she actually is. On top of that, she does not even explain or do anything in class. She just orders us to work on a text, so you go and fight on your own. And this is what I'm currently doing, struggling to understand a piece of work of Shakespeare.

"Oh, here is Mr. Erden Deniz." The teacher suddenly voices out.

My heart skips a beat.

Shit.

I rapidly pull on the hood, restlessly pulling it so that it covers my face to the maximum. Since when, Erden fuckin' does literature?

Great, the part in my book where I mentioned which subject Erden does, isn't in the published chapter one. That's why he chose the subjects according to his own will.

The whole class has their eyes on Erden, some feminine voice even murmuring how can he be so sexy. You should thank me, girl. Assuming that Erden won't recognise me under the hood, I riskily take a look at him. My stomach flips on seeing him, memories of our short adventure flashing in my head.

He is wearing a plain white T-shirt, tight enough to exhibit the outline of his big chest and expose his impressive biceps. As for his lower part, a frazzle grey jeans with black boots. Well, thank me also for his style.

"Already late in class on his second day." Madam Elena complains, glowering at Erden.

A smug smile forms on his face. "It happened that it wasn't easy to cum." He lets out casually. My eyes go wide just like the teacher.

"Come." He rectifies. A gale of guffawing soon fills the class. Everyone is laughing their heads off, some even tapping their tables, unable to control themselves, except me. I'm in a deadpan state, feeling somehow responsible for Erden's stupidity.

He is there in front of the door, watching the flurry he has created, a small smirk playing on his lips. He did it on purpose, I knew it. But when he realises how the teacher is glaring at him, he swallows his grin.

"Oh sorry." He tries to act innocent. "I meant, it wasn't easy to come here because I didn't even know where the class is." He pretends, laughing in his sleeves which make the students burst out of laughter once again.

I just wanna bury my face somewhere.

Madam Elena gives Erden a dirty look. She does the same for the class which finally hush them up. She didn't play the game but stands unruffled. Her eyes then roam around, searching a vacant place for Erden.

Oh, god. There is one beside me.

I swiftly lower my head and compress my arms again my body, so that I can hide behind the large figure sitting in front of me.

"Umm..." She murmurs, looking around the class.

"Not me, not me." I mentally implore. My head is throbbing, my mind beseeching that she doesn't notice the unoccupied chair beside me.

"Go and sit, euhh..." The teacher trails off, still unsure.

"No, no, no." My mind begs.

"Near Miss Everster!" She bursts out, pointing at me. The whole class turns to look at me. At that moment, I freeze on the spot. My heartbeat accelerates as well as my breathing. God, why me?

"She is lucky." A feminine voice whispers. Lucky, your ass. Look at me now, luck is the last thing I'm having those days.

My heartbeat races as Erden rambles to his place, giving Lexi a wink on his way, while having various eyes fixed on him. I clench my fist to hold myself as he reaches his table. Erden places his bag on the floor and takes a seat next to me. As soon as he sits down on the chair, his soft lavender perfume fans in the air which however has a distant cigarette odor. In my head, there is a flashback of the party events, reminding me of our sexy encounter.

I was still dreaming about the feel of his lips when I realise that someone is actually talking to me. I snap back to reality and find that this someone is... Erden. I swallow hard.

"Hey, what is there to be done?" He unexpectedly asks, his voice deeply thrilling. Shit, why does he need to talk to me?

I'm frigid solid, not even daring to look at his face. But I'm aware that I have to do something pronto. I quietly suck in a breath to amass courage. Fearing that he might recognise my voice, I try to point with my pen the text given from the book, but my hand is uncontrollably shaking. I immediately pull it back which turns things weirder. Damn Hazel.

Erden emits a puff. "Are you voiceless or what?" He hisses. "And that thing on your head, I can't even see your face." He rumbles while leaning forward to look under the hood. Oh, oh. I urgently shift forward, pulling the right side of the hood further so that he doesn't see my face.

"What's going on over there?" Madam Elena groans. Saved by her.

All the heads in the class turn to us, enjoying the situation like Erden who is hardly able to muffle his chuckles.

"If you want to talk, just go outside, Mr. Deniz and Mrs. Everster." The teacher tells us sharply.

No, thanks.

"And remove that thing on your head, Mrs. Everster." She orders me. "You are in a class."

Oh, no.

No!

No!

No!

"Pathetic." Lexi comments mockingly, but I don't have time to care about her at that moment.

My feet are trembling under the table, my breathing so heavy that words aren't able to be formed. "I... " My voice wobbles. "I'm feeling a bit cold." I nervously invent an excuse, but Madam Elena shakes her head in disagreement. "It's not a reason, just remove it."

"Remove it." Erden murmurs. "I already recognised your voice."

I stop breathing.

Caught up, I know there is no escape this time.

Taking a deep breath, each of my hands grab one side of the hood and gently pull it back from my head, mentally preparing me for what's going to happen next.

"Good, now focus on your work." The teacher says authoritatively and all the students turn their heads back to their own business. Once Madam Elena has resumed her work too, and isn't looking at us, Erden immediately leans closer to me.

"I did tell you that I will find you." He whispers, resting a hand on my thigh and starts rubbing it slowly. I melt on feeling his touch again. It's as if burning my skin. I press my lips together, trying to control my nerves while staring blankly at my book. I can't look at Erden, but I bet he is smirking.

"Well." He grins. "After the class, Miss Everster."
