Hazel
My heart has been thumping inside my ribcage all long of the trip. I purposefully took the taxi instead of going to my house which is beside Erden's, so that he doesn't become aware of where I live.
The most screwing part is that he confused me with his Tinder date. What took me to write that he uses this app to sleep around like all Wattpad badboys? Damn you, Hazel. My acting quite saved me, but he is my neighbor. I won't be able to avoid him for long.
I still can't believe the fact that I had a real conversation with the character of my book, felt his body against mine and looked into his eyes. It felt weirdly intimidating. But I cannot accept what is happening, that Erden is actually alive. I don't know how to tell him the truth, when I myself have not yet digested the fact that he is breathing the same air as me.
I am simply afraid of the reality.
And it's time to rectify it.
I get off from the taxi after paying the driver with my quite expensive watch. I did not have money with me.
At last, I am finally in front of the;
Wattpad Headquarters.
As far as my head can lift, I look up at the skyscraper tall building. The headquarters of Wattpad is situated in the boom town of the country. For the first time of my life, I will step in the universe of Wattpad. All that happened because of this app seems like a dream... no, a nightmare instead.
I'm sweating when I arrive at the door, waddling on my own steps before piercing in. The clatter of the road dissolves as I enter the jumbo building. The surrounding is without a sound... and human.
Am I at the right place?
My eyes dart around. There is a large logo of Wattpad at the beginning of the right wall, which is leading to a narrow corridor. I'm well in the Wattpad headquarter. The logo is in three-dimension, aglow in its standard colour; orange and white. Those colours whip the thought of Erden. The logo on his hand is altered, creepy in red and black... Why do I feel like I have seen those colours befo-
Oh yaa! Now I remember. When Lia and I hacked Wattpad, she opened a new Wattpad which was in the same red and black! I glide a hand over my face.
In which world are you living, Hazel?
Letting out a desperate suspire, I flatter in the corridor which is furnished with white lights and orange bulbs. Stepping further, a desk with a woman behind it at the end of the corridor come into view. Surely the receptionist.
She is searching for I don't know what in the pile of papers which is in front of her. The woman becomes more vivid as I step closer. She is an old lady, with short smeary grizzle-grey hair, wrinkled round face and a witchy long pointy nose.
"Good morning," I say loud and cheery. The woman raises her head, deep pitch-dark eyes glowering at me without even responding to my greeting.
That isn't nice, grandma. Ignoring her crude ways, I exhale, "I need to talk to someone in charge of the Wattpad hacked problem."
She blinks twice. Is she not aware or what?
I feign a laugh. "Euh, you know, Wattpad was-"
"You are the one who hacked it, right?" The old lady voices out, seriously.
My mouth feels dry.
God, what to say now?
Literally, Lia hacked it. But I can't say that! I was there when she did so and I agreed to. It's my story, my Wattpad account and my phone.
