"STOP SMOKING!" sigaw ni Hiru kay Rival mula sa driver's seat.

"Open the window then," sagot ni Rival at muling nagbuga ng usok at hindi nakinig.

Pyrmont sighed while looking outside the window. "Hiru open the window," utos niya dito.

"No can't. Outside is fuckin' hot and I don't want to breathe in those fuckin' dusts."

"You are not supposed to be here, why the fuck did you come along?" Rasmus snapped irritated. Nasa tabi ito ni Hiru samantalang katabi niya naman sa backseat si Rival.

"Because I never been here. They say Cebu is beautiful and I want to see how much," Hiru replied.

Kumunot ang noo ni Pyrmont sa sinagot ni Hiru. "You could have toured this city on your own," he commented.

Nagkibit-balikat lang ito.

"Open the damn window, singkit! And," lumingon si Rasmus sa kanila ni Rival. "Stop smoking Rival!" he ordered.

"Tang'na naman, oh," yamot na mura ni Rival bago pinuksa ang hawak na sigarilyo sa ashtray na nakalapag sa center console.

Ibinaba naman ni Hiru ang bintana sa pintuan nila Rasmus at Rival.

Nakahinga ng maluwag si Pyrmont. Tumahimik na rin ang buong sasakyan at wala na ang nakakainis na amoy ng usok.

Muli siyang tumingin sa labas ng bintana saka tahimik na nagbuga ng hangin habang hindi maalis sa isip niya ang ama ni Dessert.

He has yet to decide when he will talk to her father but the dread is already crawling inside him. If her father is mad at him, that is understandable. Kung siya magkakaroon ng anak na babae tapos ganoon ang mangyayari baka makapatay pa siya ng hindi kriminal.

"Send him to jail."

"How did uncle Vonn know about him?" Rasmus inquired, looking back at him.

Nasabi niya na kinausap siya ng kaniyang ama kaninang umaga matapos niyang ihatid si Dessert sa hospital tungkol sa lalaki na pinakidnap niya kina Rasmus at Rival. He lost his yacht because of it so he has to order a new one. It's no big deal as long as he keeps the scumbag.

And his parents are more than willing to make the man pay for whatever he did five years ago that ruined his relationship with Dessert. Pero kahit ganoon ay kinuha parin ng magulang niya ang yate niya para ibenta bilang parusa sa pagpapakidnap niya na walang pasabi sa mga ito.

"My parents have ways. Maybe they keep a tab on me like they always do with my other brothers," sagot niya saka tumingin sa mataas na gusali sa 'di kalayuan.

"You think they only keep a tab on you?"

Sinulyapan niya si Rival na siyang nagtanong. "What do you mean by that?"

"He's askin' if your parents only keep a tab on you and not on us too," Hiru explained.

"They probably have men following us all to keep us safe," Rasmus said. "I once got kidnapped a few years ago, when I thought I'm doomed, suddenly, came two masked men and helped me out," kuwento ni Rasmus.

"They probably send men to follow us around if we travel alone," Pyrmont suspected. "Unless we are inside the Island or we travel by group no need for security."
