Chapter 2

Your manager came and you followed her car to the hotel she found. It was a really nice one that wasn't too well known to the public since celebs mostly stayed here. She checked you in and helped you walk up to your room.

You sat down and set out some of your necessities out and placed them where they belonged. The room was super nice, you couldn't even really call it a room.

There were 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a balcony and a washer and dryer. It was like a pre decorated condo.

"you outdid yourself here Kim." You complimented.

"wasn't easy either, but come one let's sit the food should be here soon!" She said. You followed her into the living room and she had her briefcase sitting on the couch.

You sat down at the provided table, and crossed your legs. She did the same and pulled some papers and a notebook out.

"alright, do you want to vent or talk about your script?" She asked.

"...vent" You said slumping. She signaled you to continue and you spoke up. " i'm just happy i finally got out of the relationship, i was only holding on because i still loved him..." You admitted.

"maybe you thought you still loved him? or wanted to believe that." She said.

"you might be right too, i didn't want to live this lifestyle lonely." You sighed.

"but then you met me." She said with a proud smirk.

"yeah." You chuckled. "and you didn't hold your tongue when it came to Aiko. thank you for taking a load off of me and being a friend." You said locking eyes with her. You wanted her to know you meant it with all your heart and soul.

"of course! i would want to work for or be friends with anyone else. you're my closest friend." She smiled.

"i'm honored, what about you? have anything you want to talk about before we start?" You asked.

"not really, managing for you isn't too stressful yet. i'm in a happy place right now." She said resting her arms on the table.

"yet?" You asked.

"yeah! you're gonna be famous very soon. i can feel it. and then that's when i'll meet my match." She joked.

"i'll make sure you still get your 8 hours of rest, along with your 5 30 minute breaks." You said.

"so kind" She said shaking her head a smiling. You heard a knock on the door and she stood up.

"must be the pizza." You said sitting upright again. You awaited for her return and she had a bag full of chips and drinks along with 2 pizza boxes.

"alright you ready?" You said clapping your hands with a variety of chips open along with the pizza box.

"yup! so-" She said cutting herself off with a bite. "mm, the movie is inspired by michael jackson's "Remember the Time"" She said.

"is it called Remember the time too?" You asked.

"mhm, and the role you're auditioning for is the main character's love interest. J said he got the idea from the music video but it's just going to be incorporated into a drama style." She said.

"okay, and this is the script for what scenes?" You asked.

"all of them, he wanted to give you guys the opportunity to show him something unique, something worthwhile." She said.

"well, which one should i pick?" You asked skimming through the plastic protected sheets.

"that's up to you. if it were me though, i'd pick whatever turns heads." She shrugged. She had a good point.

"...i think i want to do the argument scene, i'm good at looking heartbroken." You smiled.

"okay, don't do it 100%, save that for your performance. let me see that part." She said and you handed her the script.

She took a photo of it and handed the paper back to you.

" Vera wait, it was an accident, you know i wouldn't do anything to hurt you." She said.

"accident my ass, Yeon. you were sober, consensual, and happy. i could see it all." You said.

"don't act like you wouldn't kiss that Hyung ." She said firmly.

" even if i did i would have been eye fucking him afterward, i wouldn't have my hands roaming all over his body. but you on the other hand." You chuckled in disbelief.

"just leave me alone and go get back with your ex, you two obviously have feelings still." You scoffed.

"things didn't work out with us that's why i was lucky enough to find you." She said with a pleading tone.

"well this isn't working out either, your luck's run out Yeon." You sighed.

"and scene." Kim said.

"that was fun, i'll definitely have this down packed by the time the audition comes up." You said.

"i'm so proud of you! it seems like yesterday that i was teaching you about show biz and the challenges you'd face." She smiled.

The two of you drank about 4 bottles of Soju together and ate both pizzas. You were both still snacking on the left over chips and you took another shot of Sake.

The tingly liquid flowed down your throat and you burped. "heh, i remember this one time, i was at a party and had too much to drink. some guy ended up that day and i woke up so confused." You said closing your eyes and resting you head on your palm.

"who was the guy?" Kim asked with a slight slur.

"i don't even know, he had black hair and a scar on his lip though, i left before i could get a good look at his face." You said rubbing your hands over your face.

"good thing this place had two rooms, i can't drive back home like this." Kim said burping.

"heh, yeah we can clean this tomorrow, i'm too tired for this." You said standing up. You stumbled some and went to your room.

"goodnight~" Kim sang. She was actually a really good singer, you didn't know why she never became a professional singer or at least songwriter.

"night!" You said before closing your door. You plopped onto the bed and didn't bother getting under the covers.

You got into a comfortable position and happened to be looking out of the crack of your room window. There was a slit between some of the curtains and you used it to look at the city lights.

The dark room being lit up by those slivers, along with the warm temperature, made you yawn. You lazily kicked off your pants and instantly fell asleep.
