~2 Weeks Later~
"i have loved you for many years now, and i plan to love you many more." Toji gets down on his knee suddenly while you're eating. He holds a ring between his fingers and looks up at you.
Other customers began to look your way in adoration as he continued. You couldn't even curse him out like you wanted cease your mouth was full.
"would you grant the wish of me being your husband, and make me the happiest man on earth, Leena?" Your eyes widen at his question. You place your spoon down as your eyes water.
"really??" You ask with a broken smile. He nods and you nod back to him. "yes, Liam" You put a hand over your mouth.
Cheers from fellow restaurant customers are heard. He places the ring onto your finger and pulls you in by your hips, giving you a deep kiss. "congratulations!" and "awe's" were coming from every corner.
You both sit back down and you keep your bright smile. "congratulations to the two of you " A waiter comes over.
"i noticed that your finishing up your meal, we have a special cake for the engaged" He smiles.
"thank you so much! that sounds lovely" You smile and he nods.
"i'll be right back then" He bows and leaves.
~later, in the car~
"i did! you were just oblivious!" Toji argues.
"Toji. i almost shit myself in there. i was unprepared" You jab hun with your finger and eat a bite of your shared cake.
"it's improv then, you did good" He chuckled. "yours was better than mine"
"and don't get me started on the ring..." You side eye him.
"did you expect me to just have one your size?" He raised an eyebrow.
"you could've if you gave the cue to be honest" You raise yours too.
"...touché.." Your phone rings, catching you by surprise.
"but the cake was definitely worth it, how did you know about it?" You ask him.
"it's just well known amongst the public" He shrugs.
"really?" You've got to get out more. Your phone rings, catching you by surprise. Megumi's name flashed across the screen and you press answer.
"hello?"
"hey, where are you?" He asks.
"just out eating, what's wrong?"
"some guy's here, says he needs to talk to you" He answers. You frown.
" he's inside? what's his name" You press.
"of course not" he scoffs. "what's your name" his voice gets distant. "his names Aiko" Your heart dropped. How did he find out where you lived?
"we'll be right there. don't let him in" You hang up.
" we need to go back. now." You say in a serious tone. Toji looks concerned, but starts the car with zero question or hesitation.
If this man thought he could sweet talk you into dropping the charges, he was sorely mistaken.
