Chapter 45- 2018- The Real Agent Larson

Joseph Larson wasn't lying when he told Lexi, he was with the FBI. Once upon a time he was an agent but had been arrested when his younger brother Ted Larson discovered that his brother was a spy.

Ted Larson stood outside the Finn's home.

Once again their daughter had been kidnapped, only this time it happened right in front of her parents and two cops.

Ted rang the bell.

Mrs. Finn answered the door.

When she saw Ted, she was confused.

"Ted?"

"Hi Laura" Ted said

"What are you doing here?"

This wasn't going to be easy.

"Laura, can I come in?"

Mrs. Finn nodded and let the man in.

Once in the living room, Laura asked her husband to join them.

When Frank saw Ted, he like his wife was confused.

"Ted where's Lexi?" Frank asked

Agent Ted Larson sighed. This poor family couldn't catch a break.

"Laura, Frank when the two cops and the FBI Agent came over some hours ago, did you ask to see the Agent's badge?" Ted asked

The Finns shook their heads.

"The man who was here wasn't FBI not anymore any way. He is my older brother. Laura, Frank Lexi was kidnapped again"

Their daughter had been kidnapped right in front of them!

"Why didn't she say anything Ted?" Frank asked

They weren't going to like his answer.

"Though the Fisherman sent Mandy Jackson home, the police discovered that he still has your son. We think my brother told her this but also said something about the Fisherman keeping him, if Lexi didn't go with him" Larson explained to the parents.

"Why is this happening?" Frank Finn asked

"There is a casefile from 2005 that's sealed tight and without permission from either-"

Here Ted paused.

"Ted?"

Ted turned to Mrs. Finn.

"What was the story that Lexi told you back in 2005?"

"Her story?"

"What did she tell you what happened?"

Frank thought about it as did his wife.

Now that they thought about it, her story felt somewhat incomplete.

"She told us how she and Woody were kidnapped by I think she referred him as the Fisherman. How she and Woody were separated. How but not why, she broke her wrist and who did it. Then she went on to tell us how she and Woody escaped with the help of two boys" Laura said.

Larson sighed.

The parents had the basics.

He nodded in agreement anyway.

"What you don't know is, the story she told you isn't the full story. The story she told you was the one she and Mr. Demars planned out. Your daughter took an Oath of Silence. She and Woody swore on their friendship. The only way to unseal the casefile is with the permission from either Lexi or Woody. Obviously, we can't ask Lexi. We currently can't ask Mr. Demars because we currently don't know where he is. We reached out to the Aunt, his Aunt hasn't seen or heard from her nephew in almost a week"

Laura Finn sighed. There was a lot of sighing going on today.

"Sometime last week, Lexi told me that she had been invited to stay a week in LA with Woody. That turned out to be a lie"

"What do you mean a lie?" Larson asked Laura.

"This might take a while Ted, Why don't I make some coffee. Please wait to explain Laura, I would like to know as well" Frank Finn said.

Ted nodded.

Frank returned 15 minutes later with a tray of hot coffee with 3 mugs.

"Please continue Laura" Ted said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"When Woody's parents were killed we were suppose to take care of him. But with the threat of Marcus on both teenagers, they were placed in Witness protection. When they returned from witness protection, we started blaming our friends murders on their son, our Godson. So we tracked dow-"

"Laura we know that, we want to know why Lexi was in LA" Ted said.

Mrs. Finn blushed.

"The studio where Woody works, there was a break in almost a week ago. Turned out that Lexi's ex-boyfriend, Marcus Xavier who had been adopted by the Demars in 2005, got out of a life sentence. He swore revenge on them 9 years ago. Evidence had gone missing. When Lexi found out, she flew to LA but before that her flight was delayed. According to the LAPD, Lexi's other friend, the wife of the CEO, Amanda Fey, their 3 year old called them to her house and Amanda told them what was going on. I found all this out through FBI Agent Tom Lang. He was asking about the kidnapping that had happened, Lang put an APB out for Lexi and Demars"

Frank and Ted stared at Laura.

"So Agent Lang opened a can of worms not with a can opener but with explosives? All because he go side tracked from a simple break in case to a case that had been cold since 2003?"

Laura Finn nodded.

"Why?"

Because Larson, Lexi, Woody, and the two boys who helped them escape, are the first 4 people that he has ever kidnapped. The Fisherman's usual targets are the less unfortunate children who were lured in with true promises but with a side of evil. From what I know, he failed to emotionally break Lexi, Woody and the other two boys. The FBI calls them the Fisherman's special 4" Mr. Finn said

"Tom shouldn't have done what he did"

"Now I understand why Lexi's story was full of holes. The past should stay in the past" Laura said with a small smile.

"But how did the Fisherman find out about Benji?"

Laura blushed.

"There was announcement of us adopting Benji after fostering him for two weeks, in 2005 after Lexi and Woody were kidnapped"

Ted finished his coffee and left the Finns home.
