The Many Secrets of Woodland Demars

Chapter 8 2018- At the Hospital

"So I heard Luna saved the day" Matt said as he and Woods entered Amanda's hospital room.

"DADDY! Unca Woody!" Luna cried from her mom's bed.

The two young men laughed as the little girl tried to get off the bed.

"I see that you two are alright" Amanda said.

Matt's face brighten as he saw that she was alright.

"Hey Manda. How is your head?"

Amanda looked at her husband and saw his face.

"Fine. How is your face?"

It was right then that Matt's face started hurting and he remembered that he had been punched hard in the face.

Before Matt or Amanda could say anything, they heard Luna cry out.

"Woody!"

The two parents looked at the younger man and saw that he had fainted.

Matt pushed the call button and a nurse soon entered the room.

"Nurse my friend -" Matt started saying but when he saw his wife's glare, he changed what he was about to say.

"Nurse my friend and I were held hostage at our studio. I took a punch to the face but my friend Woodland Demars took way more punches. I think he may have some cracked ribs." Matt said

The nurse nodded and paged a doctor to look at Woods.

Woods was just coming to when the Doctor entered the room.

"Mr. Fredrick could you please help your friend into the chair so I can check his ribs" the doctor said

With a groan Matt soon had Woods sitting in the chair.

After a few minutes of hearing Woods whimper as the Doctor pressed his fingers to Woods's ribs, the doctor determined that two of Woods's ribs were cracked and one was actually broken.

So Woods left Amanda's room in a wheel chair to have his chest check just in case the broken rib caused some internal bleed and to get his ribs wrapped. The nurse came back and handed Matt an ice pack for his eye.

Soon Woods was returned, to Amanda's room and the three friends and a three year old spent the night in the hospital or at least that's what suppose to happen. As the Doctor left, he told the friends that Woods was free of internal bleeding.
