The Many Secrets of Woodland Demars

Chapter 1: 2018

 Alexis "Lexi" Finn was finally living her dream. It just wasn't in the way she had planned it though.

24 year old Lexi was stuck living in Manhattan, New York on the east coast. Though she was big on YouTube, she still didn't have her own studio. She was like every small YouTuber who was just starting out, she filmed in her apartment bedroom.

She filmed everything from Interviews to How To videos, all from her small apartment.

When she wasn't filming, she skyped her best friend Woodland Demars who she still called Woody. She found out that he was now going by Woods.

The two friends had been forced to separate by Lexi's parents Frank and Mandy Finn, after Woods's parents had been murdered by Lexi's ex-boyfriend Marcus Xavier who turned out to be the leader of a gang, had been arrested.

Both friends were in their late teens when they left the Witness protection program, but because he was only 17 years of age when he left the program and though Lexi's parents promised to take him in if something happened to Woods's parents, Mr. Finn located Woods's  Aunt in LA, California. Woods was sent to live with his Aunt while his best friend was forced to stay in New York.

Lexi knew that her friend felt bad for her. 

Woods who was now 23 years of age and had a job as a vlogger for Hi5 Studios, kept trying and failing to talk her parents into letting her move to LA.

The answer was always a solid NO.

It had something to do with an overprotective father and mother and an almost two year age difference.

But Woods knew differently.

They blamed Woods for the death of their friends, his parents. After their deaths, Mr. and Mrs. Finn always gave him hard looks.

It wasn't his fault that his parents adopted Marcus Xavier and then introduced him to his biological Uncle. 

There were things that Woods knew about Marcus when he was dating Lexi. She was 16 when she was introduced to Marcus who was 18. 

In front of others Marcus was sweet and caring for Lexi but behind closed doors, Marcus was a monster. He would abuse her both physically and verbally. Marcus came close to raping her but was stopped by Woods.

It only stopped after Marcus murdered his adopted parents and attempted murder on Woods himself.

Lexi shook her head of the painful flashback.

Today, Lexi was nervous. She had received a phone call from a New York Detective who had been informed by the FBI about Marcus Xavier.

He had been released from a New York prison after his lawyers discovered that the police were missing a ton of evidence. Her testimony and Woods's had been tossed out as being falsified. 

The evidence and the clues that were missing were the murder weapon, several clues and fingerprints.

She needed to call Woods and tell him what was happening before it was too late.

Marcus Xavier was a mad man out for revenge.

Lexi Finn called her friend.

At Hi5 Studios

Red Base

23 year old Woodland Demars swore as fell backwards in his chair. His cellphone rang.

"A Darth Vader ringtone Woods? Really who is calling you? Your Mom?" Sam asked jokingly.

"Sam, wait did you say Darth Vader?" Woods asked from the floor.

Sam looked at him funny.

Woods wasn't laughing like she thought he would, instead she watched the color drain from his face.

"Woods?"

Nothing. He missed the call.

His cell rang again.

"Woods?"

He was scaring Sam.

"Woods your scaring me. Am going to call Matt"

He missed the call again. His phone rang again.

He made a grab at it and looked at the screen.

"FUCK!!!!"

Sam looked at him in shock.

Ops.

"Sam get out!"

Sam looked at him.

He still looked pale but the color was starting to return to his face and he looked mad.

Sam walked out of the office she shared with Woods.

As she closed the door, she heard one word.

"What?"
