Ever since all of his officers had left the office to go to work, Abhijeet couldn't concentrate. His best officer since working for the CID, the one who had stood up to him almost three years earlier when he shut down the STF and suspected her of being on the bad side. He had never believed it, but it was his job to make him believe it. She had always stood firm, had supported Daya to the end, even going so far as to lose her job. He had admired her loyalty to the man who had made her lose everything.

Today she was in jail and he didn't know what to do. He had told Daya to trust justice and that she would soon be cleared. He didn't really believe it himself. He knew it was a stunt, the surveillance videos, the DNA results. It could only be that. He didn't believe at all that she could have done such a thing. Unfortunately, since Siddhart’s announcement about his testimony against Shreya, he had some doubts. Not about her innocence, but he wanted to know where she had been and how to prove that she couldn't be guilty. She hadn't spent the evening at home or at the office. She had gone somewhere, but where?

For a few days, he had noticed that she was not well, that she was upset by something. He had watched it well over the past few days. She slept little, she was worried. He had seen her looking around her, as if she was expecting someone to arrive and was afraid of him. He had never seen her be afraid and that had intrigued him. Maybe it all had something to do with the current situation? If that was the case, he was going to have to be careful.

Shreya had been trapped and was now in jail. He was going to have to handle things with care and discretion. He sat behind his desk and let his gaze fall on his agents. Akash was tapping frantically on his computer, searching for evidence to prove Shreya's innocence. This young boy had a bright future ahead of him and Abhijeet was proud to have him on his team. He was not afraid to take risks for his colleagues, his friends. He was the youngest here and already, he had known how to make his place among all these experienced officers.

Nikhil had returned alone. Daya had gone to jail, which didn't surprise Abhijeet at all. He had come back from Bangalore, taking a night flight, to with Shreya, to support her, to help her. The attachment between these two was perfectly visible, the feelings they had for each other were no secret. Abhijeet had even wondered why she had started dating Siddhart. The officer was a good man, but he was not the right one for her.

Today, Siddhart's testimony risked sending Shreya to prison for a long time and he wondered if he really had feelings for the young woman. Daya would have lied if necessary to protect her, not for him to condone such a thing. But he would, for the woman he loves. Siddhart would never do it. Did he really love Shreya? Because in this story, feelings were very important. Shreya had problems, long before this murder case, and it was to protect those she loves that she had kept silent. And now she was risking her life. Yes, love was of great importance in this matter.

Abhijeet had never been the type to deal with this, to worry about the feelings between his subordinates. He was the boss, he assigned business to his officers and expected the job to be done. Then, Daya had arrived in his life, changing his outlook. The man who brought down CID and the whole system on their knees singlehandly. When he asked Shreya to join the team, even going so far as to prefer prison if he did not accept, Abhijeet understood that she was more to him than a colleague, a friend. This man's feelings were visible on his face. Abhijeet didn't feel like he was doing nothing and seeing two people so important to him sink into misery.

The ACP turned to his phone. He had a few phone calls to make, people to contact. He was taking risks, but he had to. He couldn't leave Shreya there, she didn't deserve it. She had worked too hard to come to what she was today. She had already suffered far too much in her life for him to let her suffer any more. And he just knew the person who could help them, him and Shreya as well as Daya. They were a family name by name, and families supported each other, helped each other.
